    Problem Solved!
Turns out he had some MacAfee app running on there. He deleted it and the problem went with it.
I told him he'd be better off with a virus.
    Anyway, thanks guys! 🙂

I would’ve said an extension on the iPad he doesn’t realise is on or, configured in such a way as it’s isolated to the iPad.

Which sites? (you've got loads if information there about pictures, but linking to them on your site so we can see them will go a long way)

So, what changed? Did he/she do something on one or the other device, or both? What versions of OS are the devices running?

    Yes it is!
I just CMOD'd all the folders to 0777 and the images show using HTTPS in the url now.

You wonderful people, thanks very much!

EDIT Yep, confirmed, working on the forum! Did the edit conf_global.php and the ACP cache thing.

You can also check the CHMOD permissions on your folders 775 or 777 would be something to look at 🙂

Copy not move - I did this without issue and it solved the problem.  I'm not saying this will solve the issue here but there is no harm in trying it 🙂

I do not suggest you move anything.
Your web server is forbidding access to the resources...look into that further.

Attempting to see what errors are pushed when opening in a new tab, but it references that folders cannot be viewed.  I had a similar issue a while ago and solved it by copying the files from the named folder into the most current folder (check the dates on them) but don't delete anything, just copy.  If your server doesn't allow copying, download and reupload.  Not saying this will work or it's ideal, but it worked me when facing a similar issue 🙂

I suggest you right click on a broken image, open in a new tab and review the resulting error message(s)

And provide a link to your site.

No, iframes are not inherently dangerous. They're only dangerous if not used properly.

    1) Requires a dangerous site to be embedded via iframe, which wouldn't happen (we don't put any arbitrary site into the iframe)
    2) Hacker puts an iframe to a third part site on THEIR site - has nothing to do with our usage of iframes
    3) We don't use any such CSS ;)
    4) We don't use any such javascript ;)
    5) We don't use any such css
    6) We don't use any such redirection

In all of those examples, they show how iframes can be misused. That doesn't mean they're bad to use, it simply means a hacker can use iframes for nefarious purposes. They can do the same with javascript, which we use extensively throughout IPB.

I get that error sometimes but clicking on the chat link on the navbar again will let it work.

So it's buggy... but we expected that.

Great work IPS keep it up and thanks!

Actually, you're incorrect. IP.Shoutbox is an official IPS release and it's released by IPS Resources. Check out the information at IPS Resources. I'm just not bothering with either of these releases because of the problems I'm having with their installs. It's really bothersome that I've had these problems with installing these addons.

I posted the query to fix the problem in the tracker already.

Guaranteed is the mimimum memory that you will always have. Then there is a 'pool' of burstable memory for all the VPS customers on the same server. You get as much of the burstable memory that is available if your VPS could use it. How much of the burstable memory is available depends on all the sites on the server and what they are doing. So it's important for you to be confident that the sites will run in the minimum memory.

If you have a private IP address you can be onfident that only the sites on your VPS use that address. Otherwise you will be sharing an address with other VPS customers. So there will be more delay before the request from a visitor gets through to your sites. It will depend on how many others are all trying to reach other sites on the same IP.

It's also a good idea to have your own IP in case other people have sites on the same IP that are:

    attacked by DDOS scripts
are vulnerable (weak security) and start spamming. Anti-spam software tends to work on IP addresses, so you may find your mail is being rejected because somebody else on the same address has 'triggered' the IP address to be added to the worldwide anti-spam databases.

Assuming this is Linux, if you really, really tweak with the MySQL and Apache memory settings you can just about get away with running a 500 simultaneous user IP.Board in 512MB memory. Programs are always being swapped in and out of memory, so you don't necessarily need <minimum>*<the number of boards>.

Yes, the post "edit history" was a good feature of VB. You could compare before and after versions of the post.

That said... I'd rather do without it if it meant I had to go back to VB! ;)

It's probably easier to just have password enforcement options the admin can set than getting into user-level options. We can look into this for a future version.

Is it possible to call the folder board_3_0_3 say rather than just board.

Reason being is that when it is extracted onto the computer it saves a) overwriting the previous version and/or b) having to manually create a folder for it.

    Thanks.
