Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
marklcfc Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Received this email, wherever this happens I’ve no idea what to reply with
Marc Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 I'm honestly not sure what I can answer with that it doesn't already state within the review questions you have been given by facebook there. What is it there that you are unsure on?
marklcfc Posted August 29, 2023 Author Posted August 29, 2023 (edited) They want instructions for the login app again. The part above that I didn't include in the image said "In order to keep Meta's community safe, we periodically review apps for compliance. We need the following information from you for the app, FoxesTalk Forums (AppId: ##), in order to approve the app’s continued operation on our platform." Edited August 29, 2023 by marklcfc
Marc Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 You would need to complete their business verification as they are requesting you to do there. This is on facebooks end, so we have no control over this, and unfortunately they do seem to be making it harder and harder for people to use.
marklcfc Posted October 4, 2023 Author Posted October 4, 2023 (edited) Has anyone else had to do this? I don't have an official business so couldn't get anywhere with business verification on facebook. Edited October 4, 2023 by marklcfc
teraßyte Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I gave up on FB long ago. It's simply impossible to keep up with their constant changes. Twitter (X) is probably going away soon, too. 🙄
Randy Calvert Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I dumped them a long time ago for this exact reason. They arbitrarily change rules with no notification and make it impossible to not spend an ungodly number of hours begging for them to let them harvest you and your users data.
peter.schaefer Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 I dropped all these logins from other services for simple data protection reasons. As soon as they change something, i have to take a look, start a documentation, etc. etc. etc.
marklcfc Posted October 5, 2023 Author Posted October 5, 2023 If I remove it then what happens to all those that signed up using facebook and are still using it now?
opentype Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 They have to reset their password and need to know their email address.
bearback Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 i get the same email from Facebook each year. Something that really annoys me is they ask for login details to access, test and review but then i notice Facebook create another account them self's. I have contacted them about creating extra accounts and they say its to test the login function further. The mail they send is just a default form sent out.

You don't need an official business account. You just need your regular account and the app you've created at https://developers.facebook.com/apps/ Edited October 20, 2023 by David N.
