Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Fleiding Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 I'm on Cloud and was asked to perform a security update when navigating to ACP > Support > Something isn't working correctly. All went well, but when I visit my community, all links are showing the following: This is the same for all users and all browsers. I have disabled all third party applications, plugins, and themes, buy without result. I also cleared all my browser caches. What can I do to fix this? Edit: maybe unrelated, but I added social logins, connected my accounts and deleted it again (as part of a test).
Joel R Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Did you happen to turn on the Live Translator or developer mode by accident? Do you see those weird text strings anywhere else of only for the forum boards?
Fleiding Posted March 8, 2019 Author Posted March 8, 2019 Live Translator is off, can't seem to find a setting for developer mode (or is the view word keys setting?) It's happening on most of the IPS applications as far as I can tell.
Black Tiger Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Just for fun, it might help. Can you turn on the live translater. Refresh and then turn it off again? Maybe some setting hung and maybe when turning it on an off, when going off again it turn's everything back to normal. One never knows and it should not hurt trying.
Franck Poulain Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Same issue here ! Just after the patch was applied.

I ran the support tool again, disabled all third party customisations and visited my community again. It just showed the following: Quote [[Template core/front/global/globalTemplate is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]]
Peter Drinkwater Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Same issue here after the patch was applied. Across the entire suite.
Franck Poulain Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Same behavior for me. first I started to see this: And it was working randomly and some minutes after that I got this message and now its dead 🙂 [[Template core/front/global/globalTemplate is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]]

Franck Poulain Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Already done a support ticket on my side 1 hour ago but no answer yet (they are quite fast usually so i guess they are aware of that issue now)

Joel R Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Are you running a custom theme by any chance? Switch to a new 4.4 theme.

Adlago Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Cloud host is usually a combination of apache server base and nginx server cache. Write to your host support to restart nginx cache.
Franck Poulain Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Anyone received an answer from the support yet ?
dwarren Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Same issue here. Began immediately after update to 4.4.1.

Peter Drinkwater Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Development team has now fixed this for our site.

bouche Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 I'm glad to see that this problem didn't just hit me and appears to have a resolution. I noticed all the language has been destroyed on my site. I've reached out to support since I'm also on the cloud platform.
