Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
abetts Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 My most online which has stood for 4 years was beaten on Sunday morning. Was about 1,600 before, we had 3,600 online on Sunday! Right now I've over 400 guests showing, Google Analytics realtime really disagrees with this.
SeNioR- Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Cloudflare bots. https://www.abuseipdb.com/check/162.158.79.142
abetts Posted February 19, 2019 Author Posted February 19, 2019 Makes sense, I do use Cloudflare, thanks. There is a lot of them though!!
Pyrotechnic Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 I use Invision Cloud for my forum and since the update, my online users has tripled. Its been constant for 2 years and the tripling have only happened since the upgrade. Anyone know what I should do. 20 users and 40 guests is not good.
Large Scale Planes Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Yes, same here. Our guest count is now consistently 3-4x what it was prior to the upgrade. Not using Cloudflare. I'm seeing other issues too, but I'll post them elsewhere. Kev
Stuart Silvester Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 We did push out a patch with the full release of 4.4.0 that included some minor changes related to this (if it's applicable to your community, you can apply it via the Support page, selecting 'something isn't working'). There is an outstanding issue where the "who's online" widget may show the wrong number of guests, this should however be resolved in 4.4.1.
opentype Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Left: how it’s been before 4.4 Middle: 4.4 beta and final Right: 4.4 with latest patch. It’s still significantly over the values before 4.4.
Jeffrey Roberts Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Shucks... I was getting excited by the increase in Guests today after updating to 4.4. Knew it was too good to be true. 🙂
