very sure @InvisionHQ had one as was part of RAW work if not i will look making this as did give RAW permission update this to 4.x.x

if you do this, plase make it to where it removes staff names from the normal whos online

so want widget show staff but also removes the displaying from who online list ?

Confused myself really because who online is shipped out as core widget if don't want display staff that online there don't have it showing.

Many times you see the staff names in the whos online then see them again in the staff online area. just looks bad IMO

Yeah but many people don't really understand who the staff are reason why the block was made as many people don't look at colors groups or unsure what color group is what, but i no plans doing this simple staff widget that does what says on the can.

Any chances of this being made available for 4.3 or 4.4?

The Members widget can do this, provided you use Member Groups to denote staff:

In the menu to the right:

EDIT: You'll also need to edit your conf_global.php file and change the number here to the new group you want new members to go too. You can find this number at the end of the URL when editing a group:

'member_group' => 3,

Why not just rename the new members group in the admin panel? Much easier and you don't have to change things or use database commands.

I am not sure where to find  conf_global.php  file when forum is hosted on IPS system. any help. Thanks team
