Any ETA when this is fixed?

As I am the third reporting this now it appears to not be server related, except and package updates has caused that what I do not believe.

Hey,

Check if your default ("Guest") group has following permission set:

b_virtualserver_info_view
b_virtualserver_channel_list
b_virtualserver_client_list
b_virtualserver_servergroup_list
b_virtualserver_channelgroup_list

Sorry guys, I'm really busy these days and cannot get enough time to work on such stuff.

Thanks for your reply. Is this something that is planned? I currently use Woltlab Community Suite and the ts plugin I have does sync the channel groups. I'm considering making the switch to IPS but this was a feature I'd like to have since my community TS utilizes channel groups more than server groups.

No, it is not planned. However I might actually add that in the next release.

Oh that would be awesome! It would help me make my switch away from WBB. It's one of the key reason I went to them in the beginning.

Is there any chance that this will be updated/modified to work with IPS Hosting? I'd buy it in an instant - and the majority of IPS users now are on Cloud Hosting!

Unfortunately, that is not possible due to their firewall. You need to be able to open specific ports to be able to "communicate" with your TS server which they do not allow.

What is the time between auto sync for users? I gave groups for few people on my IPBoard and they didn't got proper groups on TS immediately. How long they have to wait?

Hey, I'm just a user but I think i can help you.

You could sync them manually if you want to, the task is run once per day. You could set that time if you run the task manually at a specific time (e.g. 8 pm it always runs at 8 pm). Check the "Tasks" overview inside the Admin CP.

If they've been a member of a group since the last sync and they enter the UUID then, they get immediately assigned on teamspeak.

Now to my own question:

Hey Ahmad,

I've last answered you in april to your question, just a quick reminder of what a still persistent problem is:

  • Users have to accept the new guidelines (e.g. after you made changes). This is a default Invision Community setting
    • Users are then redirected to a screen where they have to accept them as soon as they log in
  • Users who are members in a group which is forced to enter a UUID are also redirected to the screen where they can enter the UUID
  • As soon as both occasions take place the get stuck in a redirect loop, thus resulting in a error the browser (for me Chrome) throws: Too many redirects
  • Users are then not able to use the website at all, because this happens the second they log in

I don't know if it is possible, but is it able to only redirect if there is no other redirection present? Or show a permanent bar / window which tells the user to enter the UUID and which cannot be dismissed?

 

EDIT: Another small thing I found are the ban reasons inside the Admin CP. When you enter a longe reason why someone was banned the line doesn't break to a new line, but continues to the right just off the screen.

I stumbled across a very full system error log, but I am not sure if this is caused by this application, just wanted you to know so you could take a look if you have time to check. I do not know what could cause this entries.

I don't know how much I can help you with your question. I am hosting my TS3 server on my own server, so I have full access to the server. If you rented the server, perhaps this topic might help you with the flood ban error.

For the instance error I found some topics where it is explained as some sort of return error. The script expects to get TS3 as an answer. Does NFO servers accept queries on the query port? (usually 10011 I think..). Or did they perhaps change the query port to something else? Did the test connection check run succesfully?

I got since yesterday (I finally upgraded the application) a frequent error popping up in the system log:

But... it's a ts3 instance, and when I check the connection test, all is fine.

Do you get an idea whats causing it?

Nevermind, appears to be an issue when the teamspeak server is on the same server as the web server.
When changing the IP to 127.0.0.1 everything works as expected.

Does anybody know how to fix this error? The app will connect to teamspeak and few seconds later it will get disconnected. I've already white listed out sites IP :/ 

While we do have the teamspeak from the same web host its not on the same server since I bought a new VPS and installed team speak to try it out first.  

Error: host isn't a ts3 instance!

EDIT: We fixed the issue by doing a server restart.
