ipbfuck Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) Hi! Like from object, can be a great feature add ability to change category icon in pages database via category settings. otherwise, atm, all category contain same icon and this isn't a great view. i hope this can be implemented in feature release - Edit: this can be a good feature also in forum category... - regards, S.N. ipbfuck Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 Edit: ok, i've put f.a. icon in forum categories thanks to a series of css rules! now is really another story https://laltroweb.it/forums/
SJ77 Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 I didn't know this wasn't already an option! sobrenome 1

I've suggested this before myself, and it would be a helpful and visual indication of the difference in categories. I used this feature to really customize my forums, and it really helped each forum board differentiate themselves. sobrenome and chilihead 2
Joey_M Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 It would be useful, as it's nifty for forums and I don't understand why we can't for IP.Pages. Perhaps someone will create a plugin for it? sobrenome 1
ipbfuck Posted January 7, 2016 Author Posted January 7, 2016 i can share css code For forum, and For pages, without problem sobrenome 1
ipbfuck Posted January 7, 2016 Author Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) Edit: this work in forum: [data-forumid="1"] .fa::before {content:"\f1ea";} /* news icon forum id=1 */ and this in pages database: [data-categoryid="1"] .fa::before {content:"\f121";} /* code icon database id=1 */ U can choose icons from here: https://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/icons/ and copy "Unicode" format (+ a backslash). thats is all (i've put all in custom.css) Edited January 7, 2016 by laltroweb.it SaltyBart, sobrenome and SJ77 3
ipbfuck Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 Edit: i've finally put custom icon in entire website (forum and database). But, instead to put entire code in custom.css, i've used this structure for pages: + and code in custom.css just for forum icon. this preserve to put unuseful css when not required SaltyBart, Dennis_87, Cyboman and 2 others 5
Dennis_87 Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Hope this is added to page databases. So I can add custom icons more easy without creating to much custom css I have a database where I need each icon to be car manufacturer logo. chilihead and sobrenome 2
Duken Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Still missing this feature. Hate it to edit css when it could be much nicer. sobrenome 1
sobrenome Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 I have also suggested it months ago for system consistency across apps. Joel R 1
xtech Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 (edited) It's worthless to suggest things here, i've given up feeding the void. IPS has a vision of its own. Their customers should provide the money, not the ideas (unless they are specifically asked to). Edited August 22, 2016 by xtech Cyboman and sobrenome 2
Bryon_S Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 Could anybody help me figure out how to do this for Downloads categories?
