A setting? Any error during install? Anything in your logs?
joshpet Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Fairly new install - so I don't think I've done anything out of the ordinary. New to Invision... let me see about the logs.
PPlanet Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Hi Adriano. I believe I'm experiencing a similar problem with the very latest version (not so with the one right before it). I'll PM you the log. Cheers
Adriano Faria Posted March 10, 2018 Author Posted March 10, 2018 Received, tks. I’ll take a look during the weekend. It’s weird because no change was made in email/notification.

AlexJ Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 @Adriano - Is this the replacement for your old addon Contact Us? Can I just upgrade that or do i need to remove that and install this one?
Adriano Faria Posted March 31, 2018 Author Posted March 31, 2018 (edited) No, this is a new app. It has nothing to do with another app, which I don’t know, btw. Edited March 31, 2018 by Adriano Faria
januarygirl Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 I know someone already asked that a while ago but since I'm not using the topic option, adding extra fields doesn't make any sense to me when they're not included to the sent email. Any news on when extra fields are added to the email templates?
Maalong Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Hi Adriano, I have just installed this plugin, and it works fine, sending me an email almost immediately. I wanted to add an extra field to the contact form, to be included in enquiries, so added the Field; Full Name, but I cannot find any means to sort the fields so the form remains professional looking. See grab below to see what I mean: So how can I move the Extra Field into the position shown? Could you add in a Template Field Page to the ACP so all fields are shown and ca be manually sorted? AlexJ 1
Adriano Faria Posted June 20, 2018 Author Posted June 20, 2018 You can’t. Extra fields appears after regular fields.

Can you make an update which allows for extra fields to be put in an order of preference with the existing fields? ? At the moment it is not logical to have an additional field for the the users real name at the bottom of the form. AlexJ 1
Adriano Faria Posted June 21, 2018 Author Posted June 21, 2018 (edited) No, I can’t. Form helper doesn’t work like that. It’s a “big block” for regular fields and another for custom fields. 6 hours ago, Maalong said: At the moment it is not logical to have an additional field for the the users real name at the bottom of the form. You will have same behavior in any IPS or 3rd-party that uses custom fields. Edited June 21, 2018 by Adriano Faria

Maybe something IPS should address, because it really makes forms like this look wrong. AlexJ 1
AlexJ Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 I added the URL but they are not shown in topic created by users - Can you please help?

Adriano Faria Posted August 13, 2018 Author Posted August 13, 2018 What's New in Version 1.2.0: New feature: new setting to admins decide the custom fields position in Contact Us form: before or after regular fields. New feature: rework in the confirmation screen template Fix: display custom fields in topic/email.
BN_IT_Support Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 Hello - Version 1.2.0 fails (on IPS 4.3.5) - I've had to back out to 1.1.17 which still seems to work OK. The problem is somewhat strange - it seems to work once after flushing the cache and then fails repeatedly. Flush the cache and it works once and then goes back to failing repeatedly. The implication is that the cache hold something stale (either that, or the process of creating the data to go in the cache also sets up something as a side effect so that un-cached first time works). (When I say "flush the cache" I mean going into adminCP "Support" option and then selecting "Something isn't working properly".) We have the same problem on both 'test' and 'live' systems. System Log shows: ParseError: syntax error, unexpected ';' (0) #0 /var/www/vhosts/bn.org.uk/httpdocs/system/Theme/Theme.php(4291): IPS\_Theme::runProcessFunction('\tfunction email...', 'email__cjcontac...') #1 /var/www/vhosts/bn.org.uk/httpdocs/system/Email/Email.php(780): IPS\_Theme::makeProcessFunction('New Contact Us:...', 'email__cjcontac...', '$member, $name,...') #2 /var/www/vhosts/bn.org.uk/httpdocs/system/Email/Email.php(328): IPS\_Email::devProcessTemplate('email__cjcontac...', 'New Contact Us:...', Array) #3 /var/www/vhosts/bn.org.uk/httpdocs/system/Email/Outgoing/Php.php(41): IPS\_Email->compileSubject(Object(IPS\Member)) #4 /var/www/vhosts/bn.org.uk/httpdocs/system/Email/Email.php(518): IPS\Email\Outgoing\_PHP->_send(Array, Array, Array, NULL, NULL, Array) #5 /var/www/vhosts/bn.org.uk/httpdocs/applications/cjcontact/sources/Contact/Contact.php(108): IPS\_Email->send(Array) #6 /var/www/vhosts/bn.org.uk/httpdocs/applications/cjcontact/sources/Contact/Contact.php(85): IPS\cjcontact\_Contact->sendEmail(Array) #7 /var/www/vhosts/bn.org.uk/httpdocs/applications/cjcontact/sources/Contact/Contact.php(68): IPS\cjcontact\_Contact->sendRecord(Array) #8 /var/www/vhosts/bn.org.uk/httpdocs/applications/cjcontact/modules/front/contact/contactus.php(36): IPS\cjcontact\_Contact->form() #9 /var/www/vhosts/bn.org.uk/httpdocs/system/Dispatcher/Controller.php(96): IPS\cjcontact\modules\front\contact\_contactus->manage() #10 /var/www/vhosts/bn.org.uk/httpdocs/applications/cjcontact/modules/front/contact/contactus.php(25): IPS\Dispatcher\_Controller->execute() #11 /var/www/vhosts/bn.org.uk/httpdocs/system/Dispatcher/Dispatcher.php(146): IPS\cjcontact\modules\front\contact\_contactus->execute() #12 /var/www/vhosts/bn.org.uk/httpdocs/index.php(13): IPS\_Dispatcher->run() #13 {main} Thanks very much.
