I am having the same problem. Random missing attachments from Private Topics and a few posts. Also lost notifications back to a certain date.

Is there a way to set a default so that only Registered members can view profiles?

Fairly new install - so I don't think I've done anything out of the ordinary. New to Invision... let me see about the logs.
