Posted April 13, 201510 yr Hi,How do I set my IP Page to be my homepage (root), e.g, http://www.mydomain.com& forum as subdomain, e.g, http://forums.mydomain.com I am able to do so by setting my IP Page as default but my forums address will be http://www.mydomain.com/forums/, this is what I don't want.
April 13, 201510 yr Not 1 install, I wanted this also, but you would need 2 IPS licenses, as it requires 2 installs of IP.Core.
April 14, 201510 yr .Can a server redirection (permanent (301) or temporary (302)) not be used for this ? .. depending on your server, NGINX or APACHE ..example: RewriteRule ^(forum/.*)$ http://forum.yourdomain.com/$1 [R=301,L,NC] . .
April 14, 201510 yr As far as I know you can’t do that at this point. oh great now cannot do it ...Would have thought IPS would have known some customers would have their forum in a sub domain (same as IPS themselves have) and post how to do it again in IPB 4Hope IPS come out with a solution soon otherwise looks like not going to renew my license then as have to stick with 3.4.7
April 19, 201510 yr Check this topic. It will be possible starting from version 4.0.2 Tutorial: http://community.invisionpower.com/4docs/administration/pages/using-pages-under-your-community-root-r100/
April 23, 201510 yr Author This is not the exactly the same case. As I installed my forum under \forums\ & set my my board_url in conf_global.php as$INFO['board_url'] = 'http://forums.mydomain.com/'; I am unable to set "Use a gateway under your suite root", it is disabled.Your IPS 4 suite is already installed at the root of your domain.
