I installed the hook and now the shoutbox does not work, is there a fix for this? Has anyone had this problem?

its a hook, you import it into the hooks section of your Admin CP

Just tested it with IP.Board 3.1.4 http://dev.bouncyservers.co.uk/ and works fine..

nah, a few people have asked this, its actually an Anagram

"Bouncy Blizard"

Cozily - meaning comfort (warmth oh house with the snow is comforting) http://www.thefreedictionary.com/cozily

Dun - as in the light grey / brown colour (the colour of the snow round here usually) http://www.thefreedictionary.com/dun

Just so you know, i made all this up. I've renamed the hook to Bouncy Blizzard :lol:

Also the new version is available which works fine with 3.1.4, and i've added the language items so you can customize it to your own language. Also there is a small charge of $1.99 for the hook, which i believe is the cheapest item in the marketplace. As such, more time will be spent adding new things and supporting people who have purchased it.

How can i define if i only want it in the Header(Logo) and keep the snow sticking like in the demo? (Don't find that "Target Element"-thing in my hook-settings)
Can i disable the "Usercontrol" for snow ?

Target Element should be third setting from the bottom under the Blizzard Behaviour settings. To have it just in the banner add

id="branding"

to that setting.

What skin changes (if any) does the install make? I noticed that there are now a couple of changes to my custom skin after the install.

It doesn't make any changes to your skins, it just adds another bar styled the same as the moderator bar with the controls in it.

I have downloaded and installed the hook but for some reason the snow control menu that appears on the top is causing my forum header not to appear properly.

If you login the forum than it will appear (I did it so in order you can see the difference)

Maybe changing the place for the snow control in order to prevent this error. (I mean the coding)

hi, i checked it out, and can see what you mean, unfortunately this will happen with a few custom skins as they have different layouts and positions for elements. It's not something i can address directly in the release.

You can however simply go to the hook spage in the admin cp, and choose to edit the hook, you should then be able to select an alternate hook location.

You can remove it from a skin by navigating to your admin cp, clicking look and feel, click on the name of the skin you want to remove it from. Next open up Global Templates, then open up the template bit "BouncyBlizard"

simply delete everything in that template bit and save.

if at any time you want to re-enable it on that skin, just open up the template bit again and hit the revert button.

Shame you didnt mention it was a limited time offer before putting the price up. $1.99 for this kind of mod that has limited appeal during the year seemed very reasonable.

It was mentioned in my status updates.. plus, @ $1.99 Paypal fee's take most of the payment as well as commission on the sale. converted to my home currency (GBP) would work out at maybe 60 / 70 pence, about the cost of a small bottle of cola. I personally think its worth more than a bottle of cola.
