We are using the "courses" feature a lot for e-learning within our community. And from time to time the contents of the courses needs to be updated. But after some time (maybe like 2 or 3 months) the course instructors are not allowed to edit the course's content anymore. Here is the message the get: In the group's settings under they are allowed to edit without time restriction: But they still get this message. I am having a problem with a users signing up on my board and all they do is fill up the ABOUT ME with a bunch of spam URL links. Some post sometimes spam, but most don't post, just fill in the About Me and abandon the website. For the signature page, you can go into Groups and say it takes 10 posts or setup some rule before a user can use the signature. But I don't see anything like that for the "About Me" page. Or can it be turned off completly? Also I am running the latest version of Invision, when I try to delete my Signature totally, it will not delete. I can change it to anything else, but if I try to clear the whole signature and save it, it will revert b…

Is there a way to turn of HTML posting for example in this box that I am typing in right now? Or actually what the problem is, alot of people copy and paste something from another place on the web, and instead of just TEXT paste, it copies all the HTML garb with it... I have this SETTING turned off for MEMBERS, however it doesn't seemed to stop the HTML code for getting into the post.

I'm wondering if there is an API to query the posts or perhaps a way to directly access the SQL data base? I'm looking to bulk migrate some data and using the public URLs is problematic with Cloudflare's anti-bot stuff that's blocking my GET requests. I believe there is some cookie or header voodoo that I'm not quiet doing right to bypass it using outgoing requests from nodejs. Thank you

I run a forum board and one of the main products in my industry is called B&R. When any one tries to search for "B&R" in the search board of Invision Board, it comes up with nothing. I've tried B and R. I've tried quotes "B&R" etc Is there any settings or anything I can do to make this search query work? I thought it was fixed in a previous version but now since upgrading, the problem came back for me. Any suggestions or help? Pointers I could try?

So all of a sudden today, as of about 11am mst, absolutely none of my users can log into our custom external app via OAuth.. When configured, it is cross-posting the entire new article content as a new forum topic. Or is it just displaying the same article content inside topics? Does it not result as "duplicate" content (negatively) for search engines when same content is shown in more than one place? Maybe just post a topic with a link to the original article instead of repeating the entire article body?

My cloud site has been down for almost 2 hours. I opened a support ticket an hour ago, but support says they cannot help because my site is pointed to IPS via CNAME instead of the root domain being parked at IPS nameservers. This setup was confirmed by @Marc and @Charles as being just fine. It has been fine for more than a year when it was first onboarded last October. Hi, anyone can share about the best solution to build a announcement section in Clubs? If I use Forum it will let members create topic, and I would like have a place where only club admin and moderators posts contents for the Clubs. My forum is open to all members (paying and non-paying), however, there is a private section only for the paying members. One non-member emailed me about something she saw in the "snippet" that appears on the side, while these posts are meant to be private and she does not have access to that section. Is there a way to keep that hidden for the members who should not see that area of the forum? I mean, I set up a private section to stay private and now, it does show part of the private posts, publicly.
