PM Trashcan

This would be great if you accidentally delete a PM or deleted it cuz you thought you would not need it.....but later when you do..it must be too late.....so it would be nice to have a trashcan. so atleast we may have 2nd chance to restore them unless you clean that up as well!! hack..

Hi, I just would suggest to add a Preview button in Announce writing (i can't find word :D announcment ? announment ?) Nowadays we have only "add announce", and we can't preview (there isn't WYSIWYG editor is this part) Oh, we only can preview announce by uncheck "active" and see... I'd add to have international format date, like for "Open topic date", "Close topic date", "Open announce", "Close announce", etc... Nowadays we have only MM-DD-YYYY format... I'd add to add in message's editor some buttons "->T" "->P" etc. They will add a link to a topic, or a post using BBCode and And add announces in "View new post" feature lol

Registration language selection

Please correct me if I'm lost, but I can't find any possibility to make multilingual registration on our InvisionBoard. There is always Default Language and no ComboBox at the bottom of the screen as it happens when registred-already user logs in. Thanks beforehand.

Add custom field for specific groups

I just suggest to add which groups can access & edit a custom field profile. It's a restriction of custom field profile to groups. Example : imagine guild forum (MMORPG), guildmate (having their own group) could edit custom field profile "Place in guild"... (i don't have idea :P ) I don't want to create another topic, so, i'd suggest, in NORMAL (non-WYSIWYG) editor, change name of button "Guided mode". It should be "Active guided mode" and no "Guided mode on/off"...

Notification of member validating account

Hi, not sure if this has been raised before, but would it be possible to send email notification out when a new member validates their account? I know it's possible to send a notification when someone joins, but if you have email then admin validation switched on you don't always know when someone has validated if you don't check the admin panel regularly. I think it would be a very useful addition and probably not too complicated to do? Cheers Paul

I love 24hour time, so I set the forum default to it, but some people hate it. So I need a way to make it switchable per-user. That would be great for 2.1 as my forum members really want this feature.

I got an excellent idea, where we can apply settings to Guests as if they were users, mainly stuff like Moderator approval of posts and all that fun stuff, I've never seen anything for this in the current software, and it would be nice to keep guest posting open, while keeping the system unabused.

Forum parent/children ordering

When you get a forum, you can't order it's children in and of itself... lets say I have Category Forum Forum Forum Category Forum Sub-forum Sub-forum Forum so I need to change the sub-forums, well it actually instead of showing Sub-forum as 1 and 2 it's actually 1 Forum 2 Sub-Forum 3 Sub-Forum 4 Forum It's a little akward, just something that I think should be changed. I can't say "change the order of Forum" you have to say "change the order of forums in category"

This is a must and has been requested for a long time, multiple choice poll questions! A little checkbox next to each poll question to indicate multiple choice or not is all that's needed. (And of course the functionality :P) There is a good mod to achieve this available for IPB 2.1.0, but as a default feature would be much better: http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?showtopic=189252

Show in profile, moderator's links

I suggest to show in profile for every members, when you're moderator, links in back of the page, Edit Profile, Avatar, etc... I talk about the same link that are in your own profile. (back of page, Edit your Profile, signature, avatar, etc...) I think it'd be easier than go in My controls, Verify members, Edit member.... Oh yeah, thank you so much please close this ><

Show who's editing post/topic

I suggest a box (red, why not ? Or yellow, for notice), which notice, when editing a post, if someone is already editing the post. Example : A moderator is already editing a post, and i want to edit it. I'd see a notice box, which says "Another moderator is already editing this post, be careful", or something else... What do you think about this ?

Custom profile fields should be able to be re-ordered just like components can. The reason I want them to be able to be re-ordered is so I can customize how they are displayed in topic view.

This is a sugestion that I tried to have a modder make but he does not have time. any way I want when a staff member that has admin rights deletes a member for that staff to have to give a reason for the deletetion so that I do not have to go back though and ask them why they deleted that member. http://www.easyipb.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1240

Well, what I mean by the topic is that, you see when you want to open a new topic..there are you have some options below...where you have -Post Options -Post Icons -File Attachments -After Posting (Mod,Admin) -Specify Topic Open Time (Mod,Admin) -Specify Topic Close Time (Mod,Admin) Do you always use them? no right? we need them sometimes but not always, so why not have a option to minus them and remember it for next time..? and when you need em just click on the + sign and it comes back again... That way we don't see these stuff everytime we reply or open a topic....

Restrict ACP access

Since our forums get hacked on a regular basis, it would be really great to see another layer of protection implemented in the next version of IPB. If one could set a range of IP addresses that can access the Admin Control Panel, a hacker's job would become much harder. :) I believe such a feature is really needed.

I love this feature in 2.1!!! I just noticed it recently, It's awesome....Thank you guys! I just noticed it right after my cookies got deleted some how. I clicked "Post New Topic" and it asked me to login and there I saw my post. But, I think it can be improved by saving the reply, or topic as draft if you have issue with cookies, computer or if your browser gets frozen. It's just similar to the firefox session manager. What do you guys say? is it worth it?

Users awaiting validation needs a option to "Check All" and "Uncheck All" to approve or disapprove the accounts! It's hard to approve alot of accounts if you're not around for some reason..

Disable Live Links

Well, It would be helpful to those who doesn't want live links. Having an option to disable live links in acp would be great. Also, automatically coding them with code tag would be fine as well. I suppose.. But I hope this doesn't effect this links as well... This exmaple is fine, since I'm adding the link manually and putting the title of the webpage. Click Here What I want is to disable this type of live links and code or disable them from being LIVE. http://www.google.com I hope, I'm getting this right..

I know I asked for this to be a mod at one time but I think it would be cool as a built in feature. Its a feature that ocportal has and would love to see in IPB. Basically it allows you to make a post in a topic that is only seen by the member it was wispered to. I was told after asking the makers of ocportal that theres is part of the PM system. Actually they do not have a PM system like IPB what it is is just a place forum that is full of wispers some thing like that, they call it personal topics.

I have a medium-sized forum (300 000 messages) that has been run on phpBB2 for the past 3 years, but have recently installed the trial version of IPB. Although my users appreciate many of the improvements, they rather strongly miss a number of features that were available in phpBB2: - ability for users to add or remove themselves to usergroups at will; we had teams set up at our phpBB2 board that provided access to various forums. Our users really miss the option of adding and removing themselves as they like. - phpBB2 would just delete the oldest PM instead of refusing to send a private message if a user's box is full.
