I just suggest to add which groups can access & edit a custom field profile.
It's a restriction of custom field profile to groups.
Example : imagine guild forum (MMORPG), guildmate (having their own group) could edit custom field profile "Place in guild"... (i don't have idea :P )

I don't want to create another topic, so, i'd suggest, in NORMAL (non-WYSIWYG) editor, change name of button "Guided mode". It should be "Active guided mode" and no "Guided mode on/off"...

+1. This should work via secondary groups also.

I have a multi-gaming community, and I want to have different custom profile fields for my members based on the games they play. That said, for people who are not members, (but are forum users) shouldn't have any of these fields.
