Posted August 6, 200618 yr This would be great if you accidentally delete a PM or deleted it cuz you thought you would not need it.....but later when you do..it must be too late.....so it would be nice to have a trashcan. so atleast we may have 2nd chance to restore them unless you clean that up as well!! hack..
August 6, 200618 yr Good idea! :) I have already to delete MP accidentally and I will have liked to be able restored.
August 6, 200618 yr But then you get into storage issues.I'm iffy on this idea. I see why some would want it, but then we're going to start getting to a point where users want EVERYTHING backed up to a "trash can" style system so they can restore it...
August 6, 200618 yr Why not make it optional like the topic trashcan? Or automatically empty every x days?

I see why some would want it, but then we're going to start getting to a point where users want EVERYTHING backed up to a "trash can" style system so they can restore it...It does not sound like a bad thing though and I have seen other systems do it with no problems.Like ocportal where it has the ability to restore to the last skin change, would love to see that in IPB.
August 6, 200618 yr What of a confirmation message of are you sure you want to delete these (insert amount here) of messages
August 6, 200618 yr I'd rather there just be a javascript pop-up confirm like when you delete threads from the forum view.I've accidently hit the delete button instead of reply before ><
August 8, 200618 yr Thats what i meant . . .Well there is the javascript pop up, then there is the topic delete, when you're in a thread, it's another webpage that is like "are you SURE", instead of just a popup
August 12, 200618 yr What of a confirmation message of are you sure you want to delete these (insert amount here) of messagesYes, definatly a good idea. +1.
