Problem with my IPB board

Recently, the server my board is hosted on has been upgraded from PHP to PHP5. However, I'm having troubles with my IPB board now, because the old version of IPB 1.3 doesn't work with PHP5. Members's profiles and control panels can't be loaded anymore and with Firefox, you can't even access the site through the normal link. Since I'd lose all posts if I switched versions, I've been wondering how to solve the problem. Thanks in advance for the advice. :)

I need a converter for phpbb3 to ipb 2.2.2 I can't seem to find one. :( phpbb3 is on rc the database is not going to change at all anymore only the Ui and the forum features. I know there is a way to convert my old phpbb 3 forum to ipb 2.2.2. A lot of people have been responding to requests like this with "wait for gold" you guys don't need to wait anymore it's finished done all that's left is some bug fixes. Suggestion: Unapproved Calendar events

There's no notification whenever someone adds an event to the calendar that needs to be approved. A PM or Email notification will be nice rather than browsing through the months and something like for topics/posts where it'll display all the Unapproved events. :blink:

I don't think I've been here in 2 or three years, but I figured I'd check in. I remember back when this product was "free, and will continue to be free." A long, lone time ago... That said, I can't say the decision to make this a commercial product wasn't a stroke of genius opening up resources previously unavailable to make what seems like an absolutely astounding product. Everything looks great! Carry on :-) P.S. If any of you were here back in the beginning, don't hesitate to point yourselves out!

I'm not sure if there is currently anything like this yet, but if not here is what I am requesting. A moderation option to copy a topic, an easy way to make a carbon copy of a topic to another forum. For example. If someone posts, lets say a "New Users Guide". But I want members to be able to reply to it if they have questions - An announcement won't work. I only want it in the 3 most popular forums. A member can create the topic, and I can copy that topic to another forum I choose. A new topic ID is made, but with the same author/content. I wonder to myself, which of these codes is 'prefered'. The argument that the BBcode help page supports is use of this code: [url=http://poo.com/towel]Scoop it up[/url] However when editing a post, the code is transformed to: [url="http://poo.com/towel"]Scoop it up[/url] I just wondered why there is not a consistency here. I know it's not a major issue.

Search Results should also be avliable for return as a RSS feed. Being able to feed content specific forum content to other sites is an amazing way to promote content. Seems like common sense to me, suprised IPB doesn't have this.

I just saw the post about it and also see it up and running. I have a few questions and feedback about it. One thing i noticed right away was this site is like really fast compared to what it was the last time I was here. So good job there and keep up the good work. This new skin does look like its going to be easier to use so can not wait to try it out. I have a question is this new skin in the client's download section?

I thought I point this out, I don't think its a bug, but something that not being check which I'm sure can be easily fixed. Basically it has to do with the 0 messages link. If someone sends you a message and you go to your inbox and it shows you have one new message. If you delete that message with out reading it, your inbox now says -1 messages. If someone sends you another pm it goes to 0. The only way I've been able to fix it was to go in a reset the number to 0 when I had no pms so the count is right. I've tested it 3 times and each time it happen. This is with IP.Board 2.2.2. I think its just a simple bug on how the script counts the number of pms. Just something sma…

I go to a message board powered by invision power board and I have a suggestion. It would be good an ignore function could be added to the message boards, to go along with blocking someone from PMing, so one could block spamers or someone you don't want to argue with. It would make for a more pleasant message board experience.

I installed v2.2 and by the time I logged into the ACP to changed the "Invision Power Board" to the name of the site, a bot made a 20 link post to sex sites. After looking around, I see "Test Forum" gave guest the ability to post. so this could be set to members or the board in offline mode.

Hello ! When I need moderators for my forums, I simply write an announcement. Then we discuss through PMs. Now, I would like to have a special tool for this, which would allow members to request being moderators of a forum or category. In IPB 2.2.2 you can change almost everything about a member, but its not enough. Some mebers can't read my board on a certain skin but I can't change the skin for them. My suggestion is that Admins. can change members' skin my simply editing their profile it would be like: Skin Selection:Skin,skin1,skin2 rate or hate please! I think it is a good idea if I didn't think it was though, I wouldn't of posted it.
