Garthilk
Search Results should also be avliable for return as a RSS feed. Being able to feed content specific forum content to other sites is an amazing way to promote content. Seems like common sense to me, suprised IPB doesn't have this. athlonkmf
so if you got a pretty ok-traffic site where there are 100 subscribers to your feed, there will be 100 * x minutes searches on your db just for feeds? that's gonna help the already crippled search function... bfarber
This isn't plausible with the way our search currently works. When a search is done it's stored as a session. Then when you click page 1, page 2 etc. it is loading the session and pulling those results.Search sessions are deleted after an hour - so you wouldn't be able to subscribe to an RSS feed of a search presently. Garthilk
I just make the suggestions. Obviously someone else found a way to do it and it's a pretty badass syndication feature. Personally I think it would be awesome if IP had a way to do this.
