While not essential, I think this should be considered as a feature for IPB 3. Sorting threads just by clicking on Topic Title, Replies, Topic Starter, Views, and Last Action. I found it made sorting threads a lot easier when I was still using vB.

After reading the latest blog post on the new search system I really think IPB 3 should have tagging on forum posts, gallery images, downloads, blogs, and blog entries if it's not already planned. I know tagging can be done with a mod, but using a mod may cause issues (breaking all the tags they worked so hard to add) for future users when it comes time to upgrade to another major release. I really think that tagging (and tag searching of course) should be either default in all the applications (On and off options included for it on each though), an official IPS addon, or a community project like IP.Tracker and IP.Shoutbox to make it easier for those who want it, a l…

Hi Guys I have have been running boards since the Ikonboard days and I quickly moved across to IPB when Matt and Charles released the first version of the IPB. I will start by saying that the software has evolved in leaps and bounds and I love it. Font suggestions to IPB3

In IPB2, the fonts names are all western character fonts and they were mainly defined in the Stylesheet (CSS Advanced Mode). Also when the members post and select the font, the font list can not be customized by the administrators easily. I suggest the administrators can define the fonts easily in IPB3.

hello i just finish skin my site but the problem with the mod security on my server make ip.board panel restrict and not function correct also i disable alot of php function but the main problem is with ipb with safe mod option need to be improved because i see many script run with safe mod 100% with no problem but ipb i'm not sure if it 70 or 80% even when i enable the safe mod option for the skin also another point can it be possible for ipb 3 to have an option to enable the dynamic images that only generated on the board like the images on ip.download just to view it on my board topic without showing dynamic images from other web sit for more security

I don't like to compare softwares but I know phpBB has it and it sort of frustrated me that IPB doesn't have it: A way to not show online status without using the full login page. An actual selection in the profile that allows a member to say "Show online" sort of thing. If anyone needs a reason I have generic staff accounts that I use that I never want anyone to see online, ever! It would be beneficial to have this option so that I don't have to forcibly say "Show me offline" it sort of makes it hard if you forget because then you have to logout and then re-login forcing not to show online. My other suggestion is an option to hide certain accounts altogether. By that…

Hey! As alot of forum owners will appreciate - it's not hard for a user to sign up and send spam pms to every member of the forum. Can you create some kind of limit set in the Admin panel - e.g. PM Send limit [ 10 ] a Day or an Hour, This setting can be per usergroup. Would be great for something like this could be implemented. We like these features, to tie the forum and blog more close: 1.Can search and add old posts I posted to my blog with posted time. 2.When I post a new post, I can have a choice wether to add it to my blog, and I can also choose which blog category I like.

Currently birthdays aren't accepted if you leave the year out, I'd like to see it so you can show either your date of birth (with no year) or age (with no date of birth), a lot of people like to keep their age private, but currently their birthday's won't show up if that's the case... Also, I'd like to see gender as a custom/editable profile field so it's easier to manage.

I was thinking that on a lot of forums admins usually add a "Support Forum" of sorts and I know some maybe not all close sovled topics and then that topic becomes pretty much clutter, but maybe still useful. So I figured that it would be cool to have a feature on the create/edit forum page where you can select a forum to be auto moved to after it's been closed.. or resolved, just to reduce clutter!

hi there, some members use a sub-forum independently from the rest of the board. one guy is the moderator of the sub-forum. is it possible to grant him access to the acp so that he can add other members without my intervention as admin? but he should only have access to this area in the acp and not to all functions. greetings, kofi

I'll try not to make this post: "Forum software X has this, so you should too", but I'm afraid these are things I would like to see in IP.Board (or similar things, which provide the same ease of use). If the bad word filter has the option to block all urls or anything starting with http ot www or has a .com/ .net etc extension EXCEPT a particular site like youtube.com then it would be good. I want no active links, but want to post youtube videos, but when the filtwr is activated, youtube videos also stop working. Or is there a way that I am missing?
