Avatars rather than profile pics.

I'd like to suggest an option to display avatars rather than profile pics in profile comments, visitors and friends, blog posts and comments, and everywhere else they're used instead of avatars. I really find it kind of ugly using profile pics for those since a lot of sites have members who just use avatars, not profile pics, it often clutters profiles, blog posts, etc. with the "no photo" image and can be confusing since few people tend to use their avatar as their profile pic... Also I'd like an option to disable use of profile pics a.k.a photos, since members of some forums never seem to use them anyways.

I don't know if this is in the works but if it isn't it would be great if it could be integrated. I would like to be able to change a couple of forums so that signatures don't appear. I would like to control that from the admin side and not have to edit out signatures or rely on members to remember to disable the signature when posting. If the ability to do that can be integrated into 3.0 it will be appreciated.

Title pretty much says it all. I would like to see table and field names enclosed in grave-accents. I know it's bad practise to use reserved words for columns, but some people do it non the less and I happened to run into one of them while trying to import a backup. I'm glad nano has a search-and-replace function, but still, it's annoying.

The option for members to view all posts as one forum. Some members might not like lots of different catagories, some do. You can't please them all so having this option could be good. So it works like "view new posts", but whenever they come to the forum all they see is one forum to enter, and we choose what thats called for members who select that option (or even the member themself if possible). Members who prefer this can then read and reply to topics from all over the forums much easier.

Ok, I read the post about the new Report manager stuff which I'm really excited about!!!!!! but a big problem I can forsee is the continued problem in the control of the warn system. I may want a moderator to be able to warn but the warn panel gives all options, suspend, disable and moderate. I think the options of warn need to be more monitored. By this I mean that I should be able to give my normal moderators tha ability to warn but when they get to suspend/moderate stages that they start making it up to Global Mods or admins. Its really difficult to mod when you don't have options you SHOULD have but at the same time its really difficult to moderate teh power when …

maybe this is already part of the system or going to be but one of my own members asked if it could be done. Basically my idea is if you put some one on ignore make it so they can not view your profile and has a message saying this member has you blocked.

You guys know how in shoutboxes, new messages appear without refreshing the page, etc. What if that were the case in actual topics? Like, you could be in a thread using the fast reply, and while you're in the middle of typing out your post, if someone else was posting at the same time, you would see his message automatically show up before you would find out after making your post.

Hi, Sometimes when I'm surfing on IP.Boards I want to change my status to visible/invisible (anonymous user) and it's kind of annoying to logout & login in order to change my status. So why don't you add a checkbox near the "Log Out" link which sets my status: visible or invisible., and of course remembers my last login status. Thanks, Idan.

I know it seems like a weird suggestion, but I think it's necessary. I was browsing through the links section, and came across a link with an animated image scrolling "Join us... we've got... Modz.. Bridging Stuff... MLG Gameplay... Great Graphics... Warez..." hang on... WAREZ? So I go to look for the Report link... there isn't one!

When ajax ?? is working after a click message is displayed loading content and the animated arrow circle is seen in anticlockwise rotation. At a subconscious level it conveys a negative message. The direction should be clockwise rotation. Just like vista thingy when mouse icon shows busy arrow. Microsoft pays a lot of attention to aesthetic part of their softwares and plays on customers minds at subconscious level. i am sure if this is employed ipb sales will rise high :)

I noticed 2 issues with the subscriptions to forums and topics. One the email does not contain the content of the post. Second when you subscribe to a forum you only get new topics not new replies I would like to get both.

Not sure if this has been suggested (Or if I may have suggested it already... @_@;;; ), but I'd like to see profile layout easily customizable to the admin, ability to easily change the number of columns, what's in those columns, etc. Any chance something like this could be done in IPB 3?

I think when the IPS team is done and well rested with IPB3, they should update the design of resources.invisionpower.com to be more user friendly and easier to navigate. I know you would like to keep it ran on nexus(witch is amazing!). But what if you show us also how nexus can be modded to fit any kind of site, like a resources site perfectly. I think with the new hooks and products system im hearing about with IPB3 this would be very useful.

Topic start time

When we start a topic, and set time for it to start after eg 2 hrs, it just displays as a closed topic. If there is a small text displaying under the topic title displaying topic star time n close time, it would make more sense to visitors. as of now it looks as if the topic has been closed.

How many of you visit the security center and check if there is a new admin added or not or if there is a security breach or if a new file has been added ot modified or a trozan uploaded??? I hink it is because the security center is not the index page in admin cp. More importance should be given to the security center and may be it made the index page or a summary of security page displayed in a frame on the index page....

Hello! I think that a good idea is something to edit the custom profile fields... in the profile view in the viewtopic a button, and then when you press you can edit all the fields... something like this: Normal view: To edit: I think that is fast and easy :)
