Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted August 26, 200816 yr How many of you visit the security center and check if there is a new admin added or not or if there is a security breach or if a new file has been added ot modified or a trozan uploaded??? I hink it is because the security center is not the index page in admin cp. More importance should be given to the security center and may be it made the index page or a summary of security page displayed in a frame on the index page....
August 26, 200816 yr +1 A security status indicator like the "New Version Available" box would be nice :)
August 26, 200816 yr It redirects you to the Security Center if there are 2 of them out of date (or something like that) when you log in.
August 26, 200816 yr It redirects you to the Security Center if there are 2 of them out of date (or something like that) when you log in. I've never seen it do that.
August 26, 200816 yr -1? (I like focus on security, but it's an admin responsibility.) Yeah, I agree... it is the admin's responsibility to keep up with those.
August 27, 200816 yr -1? (I like focus on security, but it's an admin responsibility.)Yeah, I agree... it is the admin's responsibility to keep up with those. Disagree. What's the problem with having a small reminder? +1 to the OP.
August 27, 200816 yr Well those that say "It's admin responsibility" who's to say that those gods of Admins you are talking about are really humans and happen to forget things. A simple reminder, "This has not been checked recently", couldn't be all that bad, especially since I KNOW that the Admin page does not take that long to load. <_<
August 27, 200816 yr +1 but some stuff on the ACP page should be only displayed to root, security, new version, ipb, news, ect.
