Pretty sure this has already been suggested a few times :unsure: Anyway I think it would be nice to allow a bit more flexibility with who is allowed to see members who have chosen to login anonymously. Ideas... 1. Expand the current system slightly (so that all those who have ACP access can see them, rather than just root admins) or 2. A setting for each member group (Something like a radio button "Can view anonymous members" Yes / No) or 3. A general "who can see" setting in Tools / Settings (multi-select groups allowed to see) :)

It would be nice if IPB would improve the upcoming profile quick reply wall. These features should be available adding tabs to the quick reply within the profile view. 1. Allow the user to upload images 2. Allow the user to add album categories 3. Allow the user to upload a webcam image using flash See Screenshot for more info:

Hey, a few weeks ago my friend and I bought a vBulletin license for $180, but we now have a template and website design we plan on buying which is only available to IPB. We'd like to keep the current posts and topics that we have (There are not a lot, but we'd still like to keep them) while switching to IPB. The problem is, we'd have to pay $150 for the License and an additional $60 to convert it. I really think it's a small bit ridiculous how to switch we'd have to pay even more than we did purchasing the vBulletin license. What do you think about a new built-in components for PMs Center? Mass Delete PMs - Allows you to delete your specified messages (and it can be saved when you move on next page) The current PM Center can't do it ^_^ (it can't be saved) & a new idea: Preview PMs before reading them...

Why don’t you add questions instead? This is what I’m doing on my board since 2.1 to block bots-spammers. I added 20 questions, then one question is randomly chosen and that’s all.

In busy boards like I have, it’s very important to save traffic and resources. Emoticons can take a lot of resource and traffic too, so what I did is- uploaded my emoticons to 3 different free hosts severs, and made a mod that give me the option to put a different link in every emoticon in ACP emoticons manager. So in case one server bans me or if I see its too slow, I can simply upload to another host and change the links in ACP. In 2.3 the only option you have is to change the whole path of images… I think it will be great built in feature to have in ipb3.

I propose you add a Tagging System to IP.Board, so that users creating new threads can tag them with relevant keywords. Tags are quite popular these days as a way to categorize information; technorati uses them to group news, flickr uses them to group photos, etc. You don't see tags very often on message boards, but I think they would be an incredibly useful feature! You might think threads are already categorized well enough because users can choose a particular forum in which to post them. Validation for changing emails

Currently when you change your member account email, you're put in the validating group until you can confirm the new address. Wouldn't it be better to make it so that until you confirm the new address, your first original email just remains unchanged and you stay in your group? Then when you confirm the new address, just replaces your old address -- instead of changing whole user groups (and inheriting/losing certain permissions/settings with the new user group). Yay? Nay?

Just a simple suggestion: How about being able to define which groups a Validating user account can send a personal message to? I like to allow validating members to use the personal message system, but it would be nicer if they didn't have access to PM other standard members as that closes the door to spam. Woo!

I would just like to express my thanks (and admiration) for the way the crew here are keeping us informed about how v3 is going. No hype no promises or waffle just letting all of us know what's cooking and how things are going. Hello ! What do you think of the idea of easily adding a prefix to the topics titles, according to the forums you post in ? It would be an option which could be enabled in the ACP. For instance, if I post a topic in a forum called "Programming", I would have the possibility to add prefixes such as For my own board, I would like to have, for instance [Grammar], [Vocabulary], etc. in a forum named "English". What do you think of it ? Thank you ! :) , [AS] or [JS] at the beginning of the topic's title.

This is some thing that would be very handy. I know I need some thing like this pretty badly. About a week ago one member was sending insulting Pms to members but I did not find out until recently she was doing it as no one had reported them to me, Until the member who was sending the nasty PM's was accusing members of attacking her in the arcade. I told her this is not try and then she showed me that look this member took over 100 arcade scores from me. I told her ok I will talk to the member whom you think is attacking you and see what she says. I got a reply back from the member being accused and she said she was not attacking her but she was being sent some nasty …
