Hello I just found out about IP Board and what options it offers, so far I'm loving what I'm seeing. I'm a VBulleting user and would love to switch to IP Board. The only thing that is stopping me is trying to find information about the two products called IPD ynamic & IP Nexus Suite. For me to make a portal in VBulletin I have to add another program and switch between products to get what I need to get done. I really hate that cause it just more problems trying to update and skin everything. From what I can read it been a long time for and update on the product and wanted to know where does it stand now. I'm not sure if I miss some posting about it but didn't find any…

Hi, I was looking at various websites and noticed more and more are offering modules or widgets that users can upload and place on their blogs, hompage, etc. I'm wondering if IPB is planning on offering a module or widget system for the new release if IPB. It would be nice to have modules and widgets that an administrator or user can create and upload for functionality, integration and customization. I've seen large social networking sites like facebook and twitter get a lot of press because they are allowing users to create their own modules. I am wondering as board admin, can we add a tab on the side bar that shows "Recently Added Topics" or "Watched Content"? A custom tab???? This would be great if we can! I am thinking about recently added Blog Topics, Recently added images etc.

I think in general it looks really good, but here is a suggestion for in topic view. When there is a topic description, the maintitle looks awfully tall and kind of looks awkward. How about making the descriptions right aligned on the same line; maybe even italicized.

can we please get a read icon (the transparent one;)) for the moved and closed posts? would make more sence for most users if the icons matched eachother when the've been read... would also be great if the pinned icons have a little pin or paperclip added to them or something :)

Rikki, while you're cleaning things up, how about trying to bring the green bar down a bit so it encompasses the breadcrumb similar to how it is shown here: I think it would add to the overall flow of the skin :)

hallo i'm sorry i couldnt get the search to answer this question. will ipb 3.0 use a persistence framework or be based on a php framework? i plan getting started to convert my components for ipb 3.0 and wonder if its still more manual approach or if there are fundamental changes. there are quite some options (propel, doctrine) or (cakePHP, zend, symfony). I wonder if one was chosen and which one - or what the way will be :-) thanks for some hints (or links) :rolleyes:

In IPB3, if you go to someone's profile and his status is not set, it says "Member has not set their status," which is grammatically incorrect. Is there any chance you could change "their" to "his" if his gender is set to male or to "her" if her gender is set to female. I know... it's kind of nit picky. :x

I'm not sure if I'm missing it or maybe it's not a feature. But we have the reputation system built in and I thought it should be basic to have a feature similar to "Find members posts" & "Find Members Topics". So "Find Posts Given Rep". Very useful for myself when I see my number go up so I can view what exact post a member liked of mine. Same goes for members browsing my profile is that they can go read all my posts that I was given rep for to determine the quality or type of person I am. Ideally, I would like to see it separated with view negative reps and view positive reps, but I'm willing to settle for view rep'd posts just to get the enhancement in. For examp…

Invision should optimizes it's forum view for mobile devices like PDA; Nintendo DSLite Browser. Currently the forum view is not optimized due to the fact, that a lot of big graphics are used for the forum display. Maybe this can be improved in one of the future versions.

When browsing forums, I will often scroll down the page to see which topics interest me, loading the ones that do in background tab. When I'm at the bottom of the page is the time I would most likely use the breadcrumb (eg. Invision Power Services > Invision Power Services, Inc. > IPS Company Feedback > IP.Board) to one of the parent folders, but as it's at the top I either have to scroll back up to the top, or use the Forum Jump Drop down which requires three clicks (compared to one for clicking on a breadcrumb). Please can you add the breadcrumb to the bottom as well, or at least add a switch in the CP. I know I could also edit the code myself to add it to …
