ossipetz
hallo i'm sorry i couldnt get the search to answer this question. will ipb 3.0 use a persistence framework or be based on a php framework? i plan getting started to convert my components for ipb 3.0 and wonder if its still more manual approach or if there are fundamental changes. there are quite some options (propel, doctrine) or (cakePHP, zend, symfony). I wonder if one was chosen and which one - or what the way will be :-) thanks for some hints (or links)

bfarber
Hello, We use our own framework. This (work in progress) doc might help you in updating your components: http://docs.google.com/View?docid=ddkc74sw_6cpsx86ws
ossipetz
thanks for the link! i'll have a look. will the api change significantly until the first release candidate? or is the latest beta kinda close to rc1? thanks :-)
bfarber
The API will not change much between now and RC (or final). The bulk of the underlying code is done, minus bug fixes.
