In a multi language environment it would be fine to have the statuses in the same language with the rest of the board. Perhaps you could implement a system which IP.Tracker could use for its statuses, too :)

I KNOW THIS POST IS IN THE WRONG PLACE, BUT I COULDN'T POST ANYWHERE ELSE. SORRY. Ok briefly, I am an admin for an Invision forum, hosted by Rapidboards. Me and my team have been trying to add a banner we made and uploaded it onto imageshack where the direct link URL is available on. We know where to edit to upload the banner, that is in html templates > global > boarders...and found the appropriate section: <!--IBF.BANNER--> <div id='logostrip'> <a href='{ibf.script_url}' title='SLIGHT KO'><img src='{ibf.vars.img_url}/logo4.gif' alt='Powered by Invision Power Board' border="0" /></a> The link to the banner was placed afte…

I would like to suggest a feature that is very important for Sup Moderators : ability to unban AND/OR choose kickban time. Because, at this moment, only admin can unban user(s) from IP.Chat... Thank for implementing this feature.

There's IP records for posts, voting, registrations, validation ... but nothing for PMs or any of the supported IP apps that (may) record IPs (IP.Blog, IP.Gallery, IP.Content / commenting). It'd be really nice if PMs were in the IP records. It's kind of a pain to manually check, and I find PMs to be far more useful than votes.

I have a steadily growing Mac forum which I'm quite happy with. Anyway, I have the feature where all thread titles Are Automatically Converted To Title Case on. I like this because most people use all lowercase. However, this messes up some of Apple's iWords (iPad becomes Ipad). Is there a way to add some exceptions to the filter? Thanks!

To start off with I would like to say that I think the search is a hell of a lot better than it was in 3.0 and I like the interface in the way it is working. HOWEVER lol .... (always a but) ... I think the member search is confusing. IMO the majority of the time that someone types something into the search box when selecting member, they are going to enter a username. If they do so they are going to get no results as it does not search that field. Suggestion: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we have it search the username & displayname fields also, and in addition to this can we have it search any previous displaynames. The reason I ask this is thinking of the reasons I…

Was wondering if there's a reason that bad FURL's with & in them are exempt from being flagged as a bad URL and if there's a way to set it as an optional thing in future versions without having to edit the register file.

I think there should be a quick link on every page (possibly even outside of the dropdown rather than in) which goes right to all of your content. On another site I'm always posting on you can easily get right to a listing of all of your past posts. With IPB first off you can't even get a listing of ALL posts as it cuts it off. Secondly, you can't click a link on any page and be right at all of your posts. Finding someone's past posts is so important that I think it should be separate from the other content and just be listing in a regular table filling the screen rather than in tabs. After posting on a site where it's easy to get one's past posts quickly (and thorou…

Topic title says it all :) Notification if someone gives you a reputation-point in one of your posts or topics. And a setting (PM, Email or Inline) in UCP :) If the group permission "Can view who gave reputation?" is set to "No" the notification will not show the name of the giver. "You got a reputation-point in *link to post*" If it's "Yes" it will show the name of the giver in the notification. "*member name* gave you a reputation-point in *link to post*"

Topic view moderation bar should look like: There is no reason why the mod bars need to be separated. The way I've shown above is streamlined and takes up less room. Absolutely no reason not to have them like this by default :D Just to be clear, I'm not saying they should be condensed like that. I just think it's much nicer to have all the mod options on the same bar.

I thought this seemed like a good idea, have the view new content at the bottom of posts. As it is on all pages at the top, if it was on the bottom as well it would save having to scroll up long posts to hit new content.

Hi there I had been using a script to detect mobile devices and serve them the lighter version of the content for my board. The script is from http://detectmobilebrowsers.mobi Since upgrading to 3.1, I have not yet done the required modifications since I am yet to understand how you detect mobile devices in 3.1 There is an interesting thing I noticed. My mobile traffic has decreased by 66% according to Google Analytics. The actual traffic came out to be same when I plugged the google analytic code to the website after detecting with the above-mentioned script if the user is using a mobile device. However, if I plainly insert the analytics code to my mobile skin…

Hi, Finally I updated my IPB from 3.0.5 to 3.1.2. I did it becouse I want to have moderation in search resoults, but I disappiointed. Why didn't you put opportunities to link topics with other options? Yes, I should read more carefully, but when I saw headline I thought that this will contain everything. Is this possible to add this option? I will be greatful and I think that I would not be alone =]

This isn't a huge deal but just thought it was kind of weird that on the Profile Card if you hover over the PM Icon it says "PM this member" and then if you go one more over to content it says "Find My Content" just the fact that it changes the point of view like that... you could change it to say "PM ME" "View MY Blog" "View MY Gallery", etc.

Lately I been seeig users post links in the status updates. While I dont see a problem with doing so, I feel it starts to become an eye sore when its done often with long links. Is there a way to have the system recognize that a url has be posted then have a prompt for the user to include a text link? Example useing a recent posted status. would then be

Maybe this is already possible and if it is I just need to know where to find it. Having a function where a plain URL (non SEO formatted) could be submitted and then have a URL returned that is SEO if it's available. It shouldn't matter if fURL's are enabled or any other settings, just have a function that will properly handle the work of converting the URL's where possible.

Perhaps could be slightly modified to This text can be found at http://www.invisionp...se_benefits.php As a side note, I regret that I am not up to speed on current policy on phone support. If business licenses are also affected by the new phone support policy, that change should also be noted in the Compare Licenses link in the client center to reflect that. http://www.invisionp...rd/purchase.php If the phone support is extended to business licenses, my apologies.

Just going through the pages of ipb now and noticed that pretty much none of the pages validate anymore. I know as content is added it breaks validation but even on static pages or pages without user content IPB fails to validate. Is this known issues and is anything being done to address it? Came across these issues when i decided to use: http://www.w3.org/2003/12/semantic-extractor.html on ipb to see how well it does. Can't really do another thread about semantics till the first issues are resolved :P.

Hello, It's a shame that 'quick links' has been removed from the dashboard in the latest version of IPB (PB 3.1.2). It was very handy. Could consideration please be given to adding it back in any future version?

When you run this it brings up near enough every file in the ipb region as so called alerts if no edits have been made to these files and they still come up is this a bug of some sort? imho if you have a board with no mods on it at all just the invision files nothing else and you scan through acp, surely nothing at all should come up but it does, im a little baffled to why they come up if they are standard ipb files

Hello, With the calendar, we can create a blog like with all the board, including IP.Content and other apps. Each time there is a new record/picture/download doc/forum topic, the title and the link is automaticaly posted in the calendar, for the current day.
