It's unfortunate that the BB code editor has been removed and you're forced to use the WYIWYG editor. I do hope the ability to switch between them like you are able to do on IPB3.4.X becomes available.

It could also be that your BBCode is malformed even from the previous version (in 3.0).

Lists require an end *, while it should work without it, it can cause issues with the way it's posting. At least it used to.

 

Tried it and it didn't work I know that there is an active Bug report about lists.

I've been using the above canned for quite few years and it works fine on all boards and it worked perfectly fine on 3.4

One thing I don't understand is why oh why IPS stays with CKEditor.

CKEditor has been a problem since I remember. Not only in IPB 4 version but in  3.x version as well.

Problems had been reported over and over an over since I remember.

Click on the + sign to add it directly to the post where your cursor is placed.

Unfortunately a lot of people are confused by this because you have to hover the plus sign for instructions. I'd suggest something more evident. 

Is it possible we can add text to the plus sign?

With just a little jiggery-pokery you can make it a 'per topic' auto-save instead of the global auto-save it currently is
