Is there a CSS framework guide for IC5?
That's great, thanks again. I believe I'm going to choose to live in the future and stick with ipsFluid for now.

Change opacity of icons in side panel?
I've looked around for a while now but can't seem to find the CSS to change the opacity of the icons in the side panel? Looks like they're dimmed when inactive and have an opacity of 1 when hovered or active.

Ok great, thanks a lot Ehren! 🙂

Is there a CSS framework guide for IC5?
Thanks! Works great. It's odd how the divs wrap around though when using certain widths, with 3 divs at the top and only one at the bottom? I would expect either 4 on one line, or 2 per line, or 1 per line?

Is there a CSS framework guide for IC5?
Thank you so much for offering to help! I had this simple grid with 4 elements (so each div was assigned the class ipsGrid_span3 in v4). Now in IC5, when the viewport is wide enough, I see an additional undesired empty div (framed in red below)? Here's the page: https://z331502.invisionservice.com/about/

Is there a CSS framework guide for IC5?
Thanks. I'm especially interested in the Layout: Grids CSS. Do you know what the equivalent of the class... ipsGrid_span3 ... is in IC5?

Thanks!

I can't access the options in the theme editor?
When I click any option in the theme editor (except for Custom CSS), nothing happens. I can't access Color Palette, Light/dark mode, Logos etc..

Show me yours and I'll show you mine...
Very nice and I'll explore it further to get inspired! Thanks for sharing. I haven't been anywhere near that far yet with v5. One thing I noticed is that now that the side panel is dark, your logo no longer shows.

Is there a list of the functionality that is removed in V5 compared to V4?
No HTML in the text editor (this is a huge bummer for me) Revamped horizontal navigation no longer has a submenu displayed below the main menu, and when the main item is a dropdown, you can no longer make the main item a link (clicking it just opens the dropdown)

Invision Community 5: Tagging Reinvented
Woohoo!! That's awesome. Thank you @Matt and thank you @Esther E.! 🙂 Now one thing I'm still unclear about: will there be a way to merge different tags into one single tag? For example if I have topics that are tagged with the following tags: workaround Workaround workarounds work around bug workarounds Will there be a way to merge all those into one single 'workarounds' tag?

Invision Community 5: Tagging Reinvented
Great. On my forum, we've been using tags differently though. My forum's topic is music production. People come to ask for help with their music gear. I've started tagging topics intensively since I discovered the "Relative Topics" widget. So I have tags for: Specific audio plug-ins Specific audio hardware (audio interfaces, synths, pedalboards, drum controllers etc...) Specific error code messages Specific issues ...etc. That way if someone comes and says they have an error code #48 on their Mac, I tag their post as 'error code #48' and with a single click I can find all the threads that mention error code #48. If they have an issue with a specific audio interface I add the tag for that audio interface and they can quickly find out info regarding their audio interface such as compatibility with various OS versions, driver link etc. If they have a specific issue like "audio cutting out" I add that tag and they quickly find all the threads were others have reported that issue with solutions, or workarounds offered. So as you can imagine that can amount to a few hundred tags quite easily, and the number will keep growing as new gear or new issues or error code numbers come up. Is there a specific reason for that? I mean from the feature set as I've seen it described in your video and your original post, I can imagine that it would work quite well for us even though we have narrow tags. Maybe I'm missing something though? But for example I can see how someone with the a specific piece of audio hardware would be happy to find a page with all sorts of discussions related exclusively to their piece of hardware. And there are at least a few hundred pieces of hardware that exist (although I have honestly no idea exactly how many tags I'm currently using on my forum). I can also see a benefit in Google indexing a page that lists all discussions related to one specific piece of hardware. Do you think I've been going about this the wrong way and our tag use will now work well with the new tagging system? I can imagine other forums would want to use tags that way, for example a cooking forum would want to tag individual meats, veggies, fish, nuts, cooking techniques, countries or regions, wines, type of event, etc... or for example a car forum would want to tag individual car make/model, etc?

Invision Community 5: Tagging Reinvented
This new tagging feature looks really amazing. It looks to be everything I wanted, and even more! 🙂 I really look forward to experimenting with it. My community uses tags intensively and has hundreds of tags though, so that members can easily find threads related to a specific topic. Is there a way to handle that in the +Add Tags pop-up menu? Can I search for the tag I want to add? Ideally, I would start typing the first few letters of the tag I want and only tags starting with those letters would show up, just like it's working now in v4? Also I would really love the capability to merge tags.

Invision Community 5: The all-new editor
Indeed, the requests for custom styling buttons or HTML source code are for the admin, or article authors (in the Pages section), not common users. The discussion on common users was related to the functionality to add a new line below a quote block. No one made that argument. You're mixing up two different discussions.

Invision Community 5: The all-new editor
I agree with @Omri Amos. In fact, even by @Matt's definition: That means Alpha testers are forum owners. We have experience running a website that contains a forum. By contrast, many common users have no clue whatsoever how to use a forum. Some have only a limited understanding of the English language. Sometimes, I get emails with questions. When I reply that they can't email me their questions, and that they have to post the questions in the forum, they tell me "I don't know where to start, I don't understand how the forum works." Another example: many, many new members don't know what "Title" means when they post their first topic, so they enter their username in the "Title" field. Your customers (our peers) know better. We have a decent grasp of what a forum is, how it works, and what a topic title is. Don't overestimate most common forum users. Many of them have only limited Facebook or Twitter experience, but zero forum experience, and get lost very quickly. I agree that the arrow buttons are confusing (I first encountered similar arrow buttons on a forum powered by Kunena, and at first I couldn't make any sense of them myself, despite my years of experience running a forum). The idea of a clickable interactive area by @13. is a much more intuitive solution.

Invision Community 5: The all-new editor
Ok thanks, that's good news. Ok, good news also. Can I apply my own custom CSS to these elements?

Invision Community 5: The all-new editor
Being able to use full HTML and CSS for styling articles in Pages, at least for the admin, is one of the main criteria I used when I elected to switch to Invision Community to build my website, so if that's no longer available, that will be a HUGE step backwards, no matter how you slice it. I understand that I'll have to play with the new editor to see how things are handled, but perhaps you can already answer a couple of questions: Is there a way to create HTML anchor links? Will it be possible to create custom HTML buttons the way I currently can, for example like this?

Invision Community 5: The all-new editor
I haven't received an answer to my earlier post in this thread, so I wanted to bring attention to it. Personally, I don't need to embed things per se, just to be able to give classes or id to HTML elements so that I can easily style them however I want. I also like to use an external code editor to edit the HTML so that I can easily for example do a "find and replace", then bring back the HTML code into my editor in Pages (all the time) or, more rarely, in the forum. Basically to me HTML source is a huge deal for Pages, not a huge deal for the forum if I can find other ways to style span elements to reach my goals.

Invision Community 5: The all-new editor
JS and iFrames are one thing, but what about, for example: HTML anchors (to add a link to an H2 further down the page)? Elements IDs and classes (for CSS)? Adding spans (for custom styling)? Will these be possible in the new editor? I like to be able to style elements in specific ways, in Pages but also in the forum, for example: Or, for example:

Invision Community 5: The all-new editor
Sometimes the editor won't let me enter anything at all before or after a quote (maybe it's a bug?), and when that happens I can enter source mode for example to add a paragraph just so that I can type in my answer.
