  1. When I see the buttons at the end of a course, I feel like I'm missing some options that would make the visitor move forward. Most people don't want to return to the course they just took or retake the same quizz again either? Most people want to either go to the next course, next module, or back to that course's list of modules, or to the library of courses.
  2. Is there only one quizz per module, at the end of the module? (Jump to the answer in the video)
  3. Looking great! I can't wait to get started building my first course. 🙂
  4. Will there be a quick guide on how to use Zoom and YouTube for Live Topics? I'm not sure if we need to subscribe to a paid plan or if that's a free service, or how to set it up?(Jump to the answer in the video)
  5. Does anyone know if there's a way to test this on a Mac, so that I can take screenshots for my users? My iPhone 7 is too old, and Safari's Developer menu only goes to iOS 14 on my Mac.
  6. These are all awesome news. I'm really looking forward to the Courses & Lessons app, as I will be using it right away. Can't wait! 🙂
  7. Yes. It states 100% uptime for EU and before this incident, it was 99.99% uptime for US: https://status.invisioncommunity.com/ If it's for a serious amount of time, then yes. However as I said earlier I've never experienced anywhere near 7 hours of downtime in 20 years of using various hosting companies. That's great to hear @Matt.
  8. I agree 100%. Same with video. Nowadays a lot of people don't bother taking a screen capture on their computer, they just take a photograph (or video) of their screen with their phone and upload that. They're huge files and I constantly have to convert them manually.
  9. 6 hours of downtime is simply unacceptable. I'm a huge fan of Invision, love the amazing software they develop and maintain for us. But when I pay 150/month for a hosted service, I expect more. In 20 years of being self hosted on inexpensive shared hosting services, I've never had more than a few minutes of downtime at a time. The fact that Invision relies on AWS and that the issue may lie with AWS is irrelevant to us, the customers. As a professional, if I can't deliver a service to my customer because Invision is down, I can't charge my customers. If my forum is down, I can't earn revenue from ads. I can't just tell the customers (or the ad network) "it's not my fault, the software cloud service I'm using was down" and continue to charge them the same amount. I have no choice but to take responsibility and suffer the loss in revenue and reputation. Invision should take responsibility here, offer $ compensation to paying customers, and deal with whatever service providers they use on their own term. As Invision customers, that's not our problem.
  10. Very excited about this new development. I saw the preview during the last release chat and it looks very promising. I am not familiar with these technologies. I wonder what this entails and what are the associated costs (if any). Maybe someone could make an article to explain how to make this work? Does this require having a Zoom license, and if yes what kind of license? Does this require having a YouTube paid account of some kind? Does that mean the video is necessarily available on YouTube after the event or can it be made private? Is it necessary to use YouTube at all or can we just embed a Zoom meeting directly in the Live Topic?
  11. That's a great idea! I love it. People love certification, it gives them some validation, and I can imagine more people would be willing to enroll in a training if it led to some kind of certification.
  12. Awesome. Installed. Enabled. 5-Star review left. Thanks so much! 🙂
  13. I love the new search bar however I find myself constantly searching for something and getting zero results only to find out that I was searching the current topic when I wanted to search the entire site. What happens constantly: I'm reading a question about XYZ. I want to search the forum for XYZ to see if there are existing topics on that subject to help that member, and I get results only from the current topic. I know I should click and choose "Everywhere" each time, but I always forget, and it takes a bit of time to change it. I wish there was a way to make it default to "Everywhere".
  14. I would love a way to integrate Live Topic events in a course. For example so that someone enrolled in a course knows they'll have a weekly Q&A live event with the teacher.
  15. Thanks @Charles This is huge for me!! Courses and lessons will be immensely helpful. I am an author, I write books on how to use software, and I created a community so people could ask their questions. I will now be able to offer an accompanying online course to my community. I intend to create different modules for different topics. For me, the most important capabilities would be: A clear course outline in the sidebar where the students knows where they are in the course and checkmarks for lessons that were already completed (for example currently viewing Lesson 3/10, checkmarks for Lesson 1 and Lesson 2). Progress tracking so students know how much of the course they've completed (for example course 28% completed). The possibility to ask questions about a course item, that automatically flags the specific course lesson in the notification sent to the teacher. Integration with Commerce. Once the foundation is built, some enhancements could be: Learning path (a series of courses to take to complete a specific career path). Integration with Live Topics. Gamification. Automated notifications (i.e. "Looks like you haven't completed your course, you took the last lesson a week ago..."). Basically the main idea would be to make it easy enough for the student to keep track of their progress to engage them to want to learn more and complete their course or their full learning path.
  16. For cloud customers, I suppose SSO isn't useful? I mean we can't add anything on top of our Invision Community software, right?
  17. All I have to say so far is that this is really amazing. WoW!
  18. Will it be possible to integrate live topics inside courses? To make for example a weekly Q&A for course subscribers.(Jump to the answer in the video)
  19. I really would love to see enhancements for Pages and the Articles, in order to have a modern looking way to display and organize articles (hopefully inspired by the newly revamped Events which look sleek and modern), and also URLs that aren't mydomain.com/articles/category/how-to-write/ but rather mydomain.com/how-to-write/
  20. Wow that's unbelievable! I suppose everything has an end. I really appreciated your help during pre-sales and onboarding, and also how you animated the weekly events. You will be missed, I wish you the best for your new endeavors! 😄
