  1. Ok so trying to make sure I understand this. If I had a tag named "apples" and I switch to a closed system, I have to add "apples" to the closed system (in the ACP) to be able to add that "apples" tag to new topics?
  2. If I switch from an open system to a closed system, do I lose all the existing tags and all the tagged topics, or can I manually add the existing tags to the closed system in the ACP and keep all the existing topics tagged as they currently are?
  3. I believe you would need Zapier for that: https://zapier.com/apps/invision-community/integrations/reddit
  4. I understand that. However I've already created hundreds of tags using the open system before coming to the realization that this may not be ideal after all. If I switch to a closed tag system, I won't be able to use all those tags any longer? Moreover, I much prefer to create new tags while I'm tagging a topic, rather than having to go in the ACP every time I need a new tag - although that's something I could work with.
  5. Ok thank you, so it's not possible to have only one group allowed to create new tags, but other groups can still use those tags (to tag their topics)? That's what I'm looking for. Thanks!
  6. Thank you. If I do that, will members still be able to tag their topics using the existing tags?
  7. Up until now I've worked with the "Open" tagging mode. Anyone can create and use any tag they want. Unfortunately, sometimes members create useless or silly tags. I would like to continue to be able to tag any topic I want with any existing tag or with new tags I create when I tag the topic, while restricting other members to use only existing tags, and not be allowed to create new tags. Is that possible? If I switch to a "Closed" tagging mode, it looks like I would have to create a list of tags in the ACP, which I wouldn't want to have to do since there are already so many existing tags. Thank you!
  8. Unfortunately I've had the same experience, which I've documented in the following topic: It seems like network attacks (and subsequent downtime and server errors) have become a recurring issue with Invision Community's cloud services, often unreported on their https://status.invisioncommunity.com/ page.
  9. Yes, IMO that's a big issue. Most users seeing this are probably going to think the site has been hacked and won't proceed.
  10. Unfortunately that's not the case, the comments were not deleted and the links still work. I sent you an email with the links so that you can see that the content I had linked to was not deleted.
  11. The image is just a screenshot from the message I'm getting, with the sad smiley and the statement "Sorry, this content is no longer available". That's what I'm seeing in my forum instead of the embed card for the linked topic. Here's what I'm seeing when I load that post. I'll PM you a link to that post.
  12. Yes, it's the same forum. Meaning the topic that contains the links is in the same forum as the linked topic. Same issue with the stock invision theme, no add, all 3rd party apps and plug-ins disabled.
  13. In one topic, I've embedded links to two other topics, and the embeds no longer show up, even though the original topics still exist and the links have not changed? Here's what I see instead of the embedded cards:
  14. That was it! The topics are archived. Thanks, that makes sense.
  15. The posts are from 2013. I'm trying to view their posts in their activity page (after clicking the "See their activity" button at the top right), which doesn't have a cutoff as far as I can tell (I'm able to see posts from 2009 for another user).
  16. Thank you Marc. No, that user is not on ignore, at least not that I know of (I've never ignored anyone). I'm pm-ing you the details.
  17. I am trying to view the content posted by a user. I go to his profile page and see that he has 9 posts. I click "See their activity" and see "Everything posted by Veryspeed" and zero content listed there. If I google the member's name on my site I can find some of the users's posts.
  18. Thank you, and yes I saw that, however I'm curious to hear what the "more" part is - to determine if it's worth a $80/month upgrade from my current plan.
  19. Thank you! Is there a way to know when a patch of update is available, other than going to the "Get Support" section of my ACP?
  20. I'm getting the following repeated log entries, not sure what they mean?
  21. What is the difference in features between the "nobbled version of Courses" and the full enhanced version? I couldn't find that info anywhere. Thanks!
