I had a detailed Question Im no pro at this by any means.
However I read as much as I can and I google a boat load...
I was able to figure out the sever upgrades and also was able to update the site software...
Then I installed the new themes I wanted for a complete site make over...
Then I removed all the old themes...
And the only thing I havent googled yet is when it ask me if I want to use an existing skin or upload one what the hell a new skin format even is... they didnt offer a cheat code or anything...lol
But I havent had any glitches and so far I have 5 or 6 themes running and Im tweaking them to suit the site and Im having a  really good two day run ... 🙂
So after many hours I returned no one had replied yet.
There is not a delete option like on my board for infinite I guess they want massive data base of archives... so I edited my own comments and said never mind... otherwise I would have simply deleted my question and thread al toghether... thats that ... Lolol 🙂
    So now ya know...
Now back to tweaking my themes in there some more... Thanks though ...

I am not sure I completely understand how to use this plugin, is it possible someone could provide an example, explain how this works. I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.

My two cents: because bridging two independent software products is usually a bad idea. You have 3 pieces of software to deal with: Software A, software B and the third-party bridge. It might be called “seamless”, but it never really is. Anytime you install an update to software A or B things can break and you need to hope that the third-party offering the bridge can fix it in time. And since they are usually small companies, they might simply stop offering the bridge altogether in the future and then you are completely screwed.
Personally, I use either WordPress or the Invision Community Suite, never both. If I had a WordPress installation already, I would convert it all to Pages. After all, that’s the benefit of having a Community Suite. It being seamless is not just marketing claim in this case.

    Hello,
I'm still wondering how it is that the BEST forum software still hasn't figured out how to INTEGRATE its forums into Wordpress nice and neatly?  When one considers that 30% of the web runs on WordPress ... it ought to be a NO-BRAINER to have a seamless integration?
Look at how XenForo has a nice tight integration?  And there is no way that Xenforo can top Invision... or can it?

Honestly, will someone please create a NICE tight INTEGRATION between two great software pieces?
    Thanks,
    BB

Just a thought, if some of those cases are copyright etc related if you host it yourself you will have to deal with those sorts of legal demands.

This is an option in our upcoming 4.5 release - https://invisioncommunity.com/news/product-updates/45-user-interface-improvements-r1182/
The administrator can define a default and the end-user can also select which method they prefer.

No, it doesn’t need to be your home page. Just keep Forums application as your default application to keep it as homepage .

IP-Gamers reacted to Jordan Miller in How are you preparing to upgrade to 4.5?
    Hey IPB fam,
I am super excited for the 4.5 update. Everything I've read (and seen in Alpha) looks and sounds awesome. However, I've also noticed I feel a little apprehensive surrounding the release. I realized what it was.
I'm nervous to upgrade because of the third-party plugins, applications and themes my forum depends on. I would hate to experience any major bugs or temporarily take the forum offline to fix things in the event something breaks. Anyone else feel the same?
Everything I have enabled in my forum (in my opinion) are features and functions that serve a purpose. Anything I don't use on a daily basis is disabled or has been deleted.
That leads me to my question: what are you guys doing to prepare for the update? Are you reaching out to plugin/application developers for updates?
I'd love to hear from you guys regarding what the best method of practice is 😊

Thank you for coming to us with the issue, yes you are correct the issue with the theme language tab key assigning, for anyone who is installing all 3 versions may encounter this error
i have fixed this and will soon update the package with the fix.

You have the same key for four different strings. You cannot translate strings with duplicate keys. Check where the keys are derived (custom theme?) and contact the developer asking him/they to change the keys.

IP-Gamers reacted to Adlago in 4.4.5 release, and mobile speed up?
The mobile version can become very fast if IPS changes the concept of CSS rules.
If CSS basic rules are created for mobile version, the responsive design  only contains changes to the desktop, for example ...
.ipsRule {....} @media screen and (min-width:768px) {.ipsRule {...}} @media screen and (min-width:980px) {.ipsRule {...}} @media screen and (min-width:1280px) {.ipsRule {...}} @media screen and (min-width:1440px) {.ipsRule {...}} etc using a media query with only min-width will shorten the volume of CSS and improve the performance of browsers while processing CSS rules.
But, in this version 4.5, I think this will not be done.
