For the bump feature, of course user has top pay for it each time he bumps his advert

Found a CSS bug, if no max-width a long advert title would break the css template (in the categories)

Fix : 

h4.ipsDataItem_title.ipsContained_container a {
max-width: 450px;
}

it is shown as "Marketplace"

then when i click on it i can see the video app page and a button "install update" and when i click on it i have an error message "Sorry, something went wrong"

looks like the automatic update doesnt work, i have version 3.4.1 right now

is there a way to update manually ?

i upgraded to 4.5 and i tried to upgrade Videos app but impossible to find the manual files to upload manually

can you tell me where i can find the file ?

on marketplace it tells to go to admincp but on marketplace tab on admincp it tells me "you already have an video application so unistall if first if you want to install a new one"

do i need a devfuse account ?

I don't like the way the menu system works with this addon as it goes against every other addon and especially IPS itself. There are sub menu options of:

My Adverts

My Renewals

My Offers

and these are placed in the user account menu and not as sub menu items and if you disable them in the app options then the user has no way of accessing them. If you enable them in the mobile menu through the app options then you get Classifieds as a menu item item twice.

If you want the sub menu options within the main IPS menu like every other addon and what IPS does itself then you have a problem creating the links because:

1. My Adverts contains the user ID to their profile

2. The other options contain csrfKey in their links

What I need is the links that can be used for the above in the IPS menu system so I can have:

How to noindex profiles :

go to ACP > site promotion > Search Engine Optimization > Meta tags > add meta tags

Page adress :    profile/*

Page name : leave empty

Button add : robots with property : noindex,follow

THEN

wait for 1-3 months approx depending on your board size and then check if you have no profile indexed anymore : site:yoursite.com/profile (you have to wait for google to crawl all profile pages and discover the noindex)

then add in your robots.txt the following directive :

Yes we agree of course with all your general recommandations

As a SEO agency, we also recommend noindexing profiles

To avoid zombies pages and google panda penalty it is a general good move to noindex thin content pages on a website (ex on a board : less than 200 words for instance)

Of course checking analytics is a must do, i recommend SEO tools like Semrush or Moz to learn more about your traffic and rankings

the idea here is to avoid Google penalties that lots of boards have with multiple thin content pages

the question is : for instance 30% of board pages are thin content pages that get 50K users per week, and at first glance you can be afraid to lose that, but the problem is that at the same time those thin content pages harm quality pages (google panda penalty) that could have a much better traffic without those thin content pages indexed, so the good move is : noindex on thin content and work on quality pages

of course at the same time you can work on thin content pages that should be quality pages by adding rich content and so on so that they get indexed

I want the submit button to always popup with the category selection box rather than automatically select a category if the user is viewing a specific category. i agree with this request

we have many users getting confused because they post in the wrong category and then complained they couldnt choose the category when submitting

@InvisionHQ i think you should consider doing this in the next release

Great results, we could follow the performance with the google search console

and we noticed SEO improvements of 30% (without any other action) on sites with this plugin

next step is : update Invision sitemap by removing the noindex topics (so that GSC doenst report errors of noindex urls in sitemap)

the plugin author replied to me about this feature : Option to remove noindex item from the sitemap and also ping the search engines after that would cost 195$.
