It's a feature added in 3.0.2, but I think it's based on group not individuals.

Set up a custom bbcode and try this as the replacement: <table cellspacing='0' cellpadding='0'><tr> <td>{option}</td> <td>{content}</td> </tr></table> This will let you use (as an example): [table=[b]Hello there!]How are you?[/table] That will give you a left/right 1 row table. You can use whatever bbCode name you want though.

I was just wondering about them getting attention of some sort, even to just be acknowledged. When you get around to 'fixing' anything, well that's a different story. :) I wasn't doing it to show upset or anything so :P

I see this as having a lot of potential problems. Don't get me wrong, I see benefits too, but the problems with trying to implement such a feature would be difficult, with trying to overcome potential risks to it messing up the appearance of the page being displayed.

This is a request I made back in v2.3 and had hopes it would be in v3.0. Not only make it easier to know what you are looking at, but also when you add a ban filter, it should default to the view you are on (ie, email tab, should default to email filter when you add something). I've also remade the request a couple of months ago in this specific forum (I'll try to find the topic in a few minutes). Would also be nice to allow regular expressions for ban filters. That way you could ban a wide number of emails (or ranges of IP's) in a single swoop, which in itself would cut down on overhead. Then you could do a ban like ".*@(gmail|yahoo|aim|hotmail)\.(com|net|org|biz|info)(\.(au|uk))?" and ban those four services as well as potential scammers and clones and alternate addresses, all with one line. Of course, that's just a simple example of the power of what you could do, but it should make the point. Would also be nice to have a "reason" area, where you can list the reason for the ban, so if you ban a specific IP/email address because it belongs to a specific person, you can remember why. You could always use an SQL query to wipe the entire ban list clean, or just to wipe the email list clean. Edit: Found my topic in regards to the separate tabs...

Yes, you can do this. Backup the database. Then restore the backup to a new database. Install IPB3 into a protected area (ie, can only be accessed via a password that onl you would know). Then upgrade using the backup and test things out. If you're looking to do live testing, ie, as new things happen on 2.3, they are reflected on 3.0, then that's not possible. But using a copy of the 2.3 database should be sufficient enough for testing things out. Just make sure that it's inaccessible to anyone else except for you.

I didn't say to remove the ability to open/close the sidebar. ;) Also you can already re-arrange the boards layout of the blocks.

You know darn well that I was saying 'this decade' for laughs, especially since this decade is nearly over. :P I'm not fussing about the issues not being fixed, I'm just wondering why it's taking so long to at least sort the issues into different statuses. "Unfiled" leaves a person wondering if the report has even been read. If something is at least confirmed (or 'not a bug' etc) then we as consumers know that the report has been looked at and been handled. Now whether or not it gets resolved quickly, well that's another thing entirely.

This project Out of the 69 reports, 47 are unfiled with over 20 of those being over a month old. Just wondering if any of these are going to get any attention this decade?

The code I put up just basically uses the same variable that is used for creating the orange "get new posts" icon. All I did was take it, see if it's set and if so, it toggles on the bold for that title. When I did it on my board it worked like a charm.

Already a topic for when 3.0.2 will be released. When will 3.0.2 be released? But to answer your question, no sooner than next week. I'm guessing Thursday at the earliest but could be the week after that.
