I didnt trigger it as I thought you may want to see it in its current state. It rebuilt at the point of completing the import.
If you want I can retrigger now?

I said when I use a test account (in this case a tester we have) with permissions to read that forum and thread the result doesn't show. If I go into the forum and see the thread I can read the thread but when I search that forum with a word in the title there are no results.
I also said the default *guest* aka not logged in, does not have permissions to anything as a FYI really.Their primary group is Members which also has no read permissions but they are a member of a secondary group called dev testers which has permissions to nearly all area's.
They also have moderator permissions as well but the moderator group does not have any permissions set for it yet.
This is an importer test for testing before migrating.
Hope that clarifies.
As no one else is mentioning this I just figured I had misconfigured something so I was looking for pointers.

@Jim M the user can see the thread (and most threads) that should be in the search results, I also just confirmed by using the sign in as feature.

Hi Marc,
I just thought I would ask if there was anything obvious that could be causing it.
The group with access permissions was created after the searchdb rebuild on initial import.

We use opensearch and are on the latest ipb version.
When I search as an admin I see 9 results for a term but when I use a test account with permissions (currently guest has no access) to read that forum, they can browse threads and see the thread I am searching for, they get no results.
Is there something obvious I am missing?
The test account primary group is "Member" but that group doesnt have read/write of the forums but they are part of a secondary group that has full access.Thanks

Yeah I know what you are saying. My biggest concern is wayward authors who cant deal with setting up their own system or cant meet the 2 month deadline. We (paid addon customers) lose and we lost before when we lost the ability to back up and download directly before.
The irony is pirates never need to worry about this stuff, just paid customers who lose.
I dont want to sound like I am just trying to beat you down, I am just very concerned and can see a lot of issues especially with the short timeline.
Will we still be able to get keys/method of transferring you speak of after October but not download in suite?

So basically if the author doesnt put another way for us to get it up we lose our purchases.
I mean the timeline and warning should have been a bit longer. Losing the ability (an ability we had in the past) to download a copy thus losing our purchases for good is a bit nuts.
I dont know why foot keeps meeting mouth with some of these changes.

I would have hoped for a 6 month notice period to be honest not 2 1/2 months.
Considering we cant download addons any more other than through admincp we cant even back up for a wayward plugin dev who is sick or unable to handle the change in 2 months.
Please at least let us download what we own to self install for now.

I have a lot of tags from a vbulletin import. One of the forum we had required prefixes for topic creation and I am trying to recreate this.
I go to the forum and then Radical Tags and turn on prefix mode but when I hit "Add Tags" a small blank drop down appears but I cant do anything else.
I am probably missing something simple if you could give me some rough steps to check

Yeah it appears something was badly cached on my browser.
I did search for the error code to try and figure out what it meant which was more what I was needing a prod with.
At least now if anyone else gets the same code it will be in the search results on here.
For anyone else, I spotted the redirect was cached in my browser using dev tools from an auth login expiring preventing access to our test site.

Hi
Just trying a fresh migration to 4.7.8 and when in the admincp I try to edit Members Groups and it redirects me with an 2S100/1 error outside the admin/ path.
I click on /admin/?app=core&module=members&controller=groups but it redirects (in the headers) to /?app=core&module=members&controller=groups and presents the error.
Other Members functions work like controller=ip and controller=promotions but controller=groups redirects.
I am logged in with the admin account created during the install before the import, that account used a unique email so it wouldnt be merged with the imported users.
It has just been imported from vbulletin 4 and the previous build on that machine didnt have this issue but we did upgrade to php 8.1 as well.
We use Nginx.
Any pointers/thoughts would be welcome.

Thats it gone through, I had seen it timeout before but it seemed weird how fast it was coming with the error this time.
In previous ones I would try 4/5 times and it would work and hitting download would take 10/15 seconds or so before the error appeared but this time it was much faster.

Rebuild worked, not sure why but the initial build after the converter seems to have gone a bit borked. I will see if it happens again when I do a fresh import test later but thanks again for your help.
