Thanks, I'll take a look. We upgraded to 4.5 today so we're merrily tweaking and fixing what we see.

That is easy Morrigan, please look here https://ggames.com.br/downloads/
Now compare it to your forums. It wont be the same. Facebook also uses the same method of sticking which me and Sonya crave so much lol 😄

If you have a solution of how to scroll sidebar to the end before it becomes sticky, can you post it here? I have already asked, there was no solution. At least not with ipsSticky.

The standard is: the main content and the sidebar scroll both as usual till the end of the sidebar is reached. Then the sidebar becomes sticky and only main content scrolls further to the bottom.

I guess this all depends on what you consider to be the "end". ipsSticky is extremely versatile but when you say "the end" I don't necessarily understand the specifics of what you're looking for.
I utilize ipsSticky in multiple ways. So, to be clear you'd have to provide better examples of what you're looking for to better provide you with information on how to achieve your goals. Unfortunately, in many ways, you are often vague and difficult to follow.

    Yes, please
I have a large community with over 1000 concurrent users online to the busy hours and run AdSense for years. From my experience CTR is low on boards. That's it. You cannot change it as your community is visited many times a day and there are a lot of impressions made by one user during one visit. You would not expect him to click on every third page on the ads. On contrary the pure content sites have very few impressions per user and thus CTR is higher. Your power users become "blind" and do not see ads at all. They produce many impressions and nearly no clicks. It is also dependent on the subject of your community, the number of different advertisers who concur here. Are there only few of them, the ads become irrelevant to your content and hence have fewer clicks. The only idea to improve your CTR is moving power users and staff to a group that views the site ad free.

I can guarantee that most of those other "duplicate" language strings are for jslang.
@Sonya* Add "word_js=0" (or "word_js=1") to your query, and then see if you have any duplicates. Some strings do indeed have the same key, but that's only because one of them is for javascript. Maybe there should have been something in the translation table to highlight that, similar to the app/plugin column.

One example is the follow button (Notify me of replies) when you’re creating content. The main lang bit for it empty and only the _suffix has the text. That’s how it is otherwise it will show a text in the field, right here:

He has to include it before the <body>-tag. If he changes the location of JavaScript in the theme, then the script will fail. This will not happen with 3rd party plugin 😉
You can limit the script to one page only:
{{if \IPS\cms\Pages\Page::$currentPage == 'YOURPAGE'}} your script {{endif}} Use this either in Analytics field or with the 3rd party plugin.

Starting a successful forum these days is not easy. But, it is doable when site has a focus (niche).
    1. Create CONTENT. You need content to keep readers coming back for more.
Create different types of CONTENT to grab different kinds of people. Here are some ideas...
Discussions FAQs Images (eg. to share, download, create a story, etc) Articles News etc 2. Differentiate your site from your competition. First impression is important.
    3. Invite people via social, email, word-of-mouth, etc.
    4. (Onboarding) Create a helpful "Welcome Email Message" for new members. You can use this opportunity to help them take action (make a post), to inform, etc.
    5. Stay active on your site and with members.

My best advise that is even free: invite people (you know and that hopefully know you) via email. I don’t mean spamming people, but a personal invite specific to the user. That has a high conversion rate and can get the ball rolling.

Hey team, I had an idea for an application...
I would love for when a member logs in for the first time, or something is launched on your forum, to visually show some cues - literally pointing to important parts of the website.
For example, a member logs in, and most of the screen darkens except for the "Create" button at the top and a message pops up saying "This is how to create a new topic."
Or "This is where to view your profile" or "This is where to leave a comment," that kind of thing. They can click "Got it" and the mini tutorial disappears.
It would be useful for current members when rolling out a new feature, too.
I find that new members are overwhelmed with the amount that can be done. I want to make it very easy and clear for them.
    Thoughts?

I have went thru the same thing. Here's my brutal way of doing it.
Download all the members list from ACP. Save it as CSV and let it go thru www.neverbounce.com it will mark invalid email boxes. It costs a bit. You can also employ other email checking services. neverbounce isnt the only one.
Then use information in this topic to disable invalid emails in bulk in your system and run queries in phpmyadmin.
I managed to filter out almost 34k worth of emails collected throughout 14 years. Took me 1,5 days of work. Also note that neverbounce has trouble telling yahoo emails if they are valid or not. I noticed that even if it marks address as okay it a lot of them might still bounce.
