  1. So I previously asked about 4.6.x compatibility; this is a more important issue for me now because I have to disable this plugin as currently it directly conflicts with @rebraf's Email Drip Campaigns and breaks its ability to use the standard email wrapper. Any information about an update would be appreciated!
  2. Thanks Marc. In the future, is the datastore folder something like a Windows Temp folder which can be cleared out whenever? In other words, is that basically the cache folder?
  3. Marc, thank you for fixing the problem! Any insights as to why Recovery Mode wasn't working?
  4. Thanks Marc - I've added the relevant information into the Notes box in my access details in the Client Area.
  5. Thanks Marc. However, the details on file are for my production site, and this is for my test install (which there's no room to include). My test install is also in a subdirectory - does that change anything? I assume not but thought I'd mention it.
  6. PS permissions for the file are also set to 777 for good measure. Tried using quotes for both values, or just one as per one of the examples - no change.
  7. Ok, I might have spoken a bit too soon. I created a constants.php and inserted the following: <?php define( 'RECOVERY_MODE' , TRUE); As per the example...actually there were a couple of variant examples on this page: but this was the one which correctly coloured the arguments, which I presume means it's correct. Either way, this line has no effect - I still can't sign in. And I tried including and excluding the end tag for PHP, but it didn't make a difference. Am I missing something?
  8. All good....thanks to @opentype and to everyone else who would have replied with the same as well!
  9. So the last two recent updates have, for me, required an updated custom theme. The problem is that it cripples my site completely every time this happens - homepage is screwed and I can't log in to my adminCP - the login page only shows EX0 Something went wrong. Please try again. This is extremely irritating and I really wish there were a safeguard of some kind to revert to the default theme so that admins can log in and upload updated custom themes. Don't know if this is possible, but in the meantime is there a way I can FTP to my site and tweak some details to at least switch the theme that way?
  10. While we're on the topic of organizing payment information in Commerce: I think there are very good suggestions posted earlier in this thread, but I'd also like the option to organize invoices into different folders or at least drop-down menus, say, by calendar or tax year. Better yet - what about ordering invoices or putting them into headings or collapsible menus/folders by product (i.e. different headings for subscriptions and physical products)?
  11. When someone comments (or responds to a comment) on a Downloads file and they're set to receive email notifications, I notice that they receive an email which has only the file name as the subject line ("X"). It might be nicer (not to mention a bit clearer) if the email were titled something like "Comment on file: X" so that at first glance through the legions of email I receive each morning I know that it's a comment which has been added. Just a thought. Thanks!
  12. I know this has been discussed before (somewhere), but I'd like an option for to switch around the main title and catchline/secondary title of one's website for the generated title of site pages...at least for the homepage? I get the logic behind having each generated site page list the site area first, then the title (e.g., "Forums - LiquidFractal"), but my current homepage simply includes the catchline first, then the site ("Crystallising Open Learning - LiquidFractal"). This really doesn't look very nice, so I was hoping I could switch them around at least for the homepage, which would look better in searches, bookmarks, etc. since my business lists them the other way around in the first place... I'm pretty sure someone somewhere once wrote a plugin or something which does something like this, but I'm not sure. Anyway, it would be a good idea to control it at least on the homepage.
  13. Hey @rebraf, A friendly suggestion for the next version. 🙂 In the adminCP, when you click Members under DRIP CAMPAIGNS, you see a list of members who have had drip campaigns assigned to them and the status of the campaign. Cool. However, as someone who has to manually trigger reminder campaigns for clients whose accounts are running low, is it possible to include the date of the last trigger in this list? I know the most recent appear at the top of the list, but some of my clients burn through far more of my time than others so if this list were dated I'd know when the last was sent out to make sure I wasn't needlessly spamming. So if, in adminCP > Campaigns > Members, the headings were something like Name - Email - Campaign - Date Triggered - Status I think that would be helpful. Thanks!
  14. I know you're especially interested in new features for existing functionality, but in terms of new features within the suite itself? IP.Points: create customisable points economies (banks, "account," "credit") etc. integrate points with different apps: e.g., you can earn points when uploading content, posting in (specific) forums, prizes, quizzes, etc.; points or credit packages can be purchased in Store integrate with rules: email/PM member when they're low/out of points, they've been awarded points, etc. You get the idea.
  15. The other thing to remember is that while Invision may support 8.0/8.1.x, this isn't necessarily true for third-party developers, who are of varying aptitude. I just installed PHP 8.0.x on my development site, which dies with an error 500 unless I disable my third-party customizations (which means that one of them isn't coding properly somewhere for PHP 8.x). And I don't currently have time to troubleshoot. So there's support, and then there's support.
  16. Sure! I currently use Clubs (renamed "Spaces") for two broad branches of clientele: students and clients for whom I write documentation. For my students, I create private "Learning Spaces" with forums, a blog, and a media gallery. Because I discuss works of fiction and films with my students, this works very well as they can post essay topics and general questions and we can have online conversations about them between tutoring sessions (which is a big selling point). Moreover, they are required to work with films, so posting still shots in a media gallery allows us to have detailed discussions about how shots are framed, what metalanguage can be used to analyse the moment, and so forth. I'm also ramping up group tutoring options, and Clubs/Spaces are a natural for that All of my tutoring is online, so I don't know where I'd be without either Clubs or the Invision platform in general. 🙂 For my documentation clients, I use a Download center to hold versions of the projects we're working on. I don't use forums quite as often for many of these clients (as they prefer to work on Teams), but we do occasionally use them. Moreover, this allows me to group information on different clients in one place, and as a freelancer the Downloads component allows me to retain my ownership over the content I create until payment is received. I've also hosted academic reading groups who focus on specific philosophers or concepts, and, like tutoring, the Spaces come in very handy for holding conversations in between reading group meetings. I've also used them for philosophy courses I've given in the past here at the Melbourne School for Continental Philosophy as a useful complement.
  17. I constantly use Clubs and absolutely rely on them for my business, as I create separate spaces for work with different clients - I think they're one of the greatest recent innovations in the Invision suite. 🙂 In terms of improvements: I hate to sound like I'm promoting something against a third-party developer, but I think a core incorporation of at least some of the functionality in the Improved Clubs Enhancements app should happen. There's lots of potential for growth in the Clubs concept!
  18. That's what you get for creating such a damn useful app, @rebraf 😄 Yeah, I could definitely see myself using this..
  19. Thank you sir....not sure about the developer though - you think he's trustworthy? 😉 And just so I can say I asked: this works perfectly well in Clubs?
  20. Thanks for the info Adriano, and in fact I had no idea there was a marketplace resource for this (although of course these things are always better baked into the Core). Do you happen to remember what it's called?
  21. I think it would be great if, as Admin, I could manually have members (or perhaps even groups?) Follow a forum, Club, gallery, etc. using the existing Follow menu with an added admin-only option. I use the Clubs module to create private spaces for my work with clients, and thus it's essential that they receive notification when I post or reply in their spaces. It's easy enough to show them how the Clubs components work, but it would save some time (for me anyway) if, as Admin, I was able to manually add them. Basically, if I don't show them how to click Follow they won't do it (which poses issues for time-sensitive projects). I can always log in as a member and click Follow to add them, but this would save lots of time in the end. I don't know if there might be privacy issues regarding this, but the way I see it there are theoretically more privacy issues involved with my logging in as member X and clicking Follow anyway!
  22. Hello, This has been in the back of my mind for a while now: for the IP address information screen, do we really need a grid layout of big honkin' numerals for display name changes, reports, registrations, etc. (which in some cases extends a fair ways down the page)? Personally, I find that because the layout is so distracting it's a bit more difficult to track down specific information (I end up looking not for the headings, but at which numbers aren't 0). Could I suggest something a little plainer and more direct, like an alphabetised list of IP use cases followed by the number of instances? Maybe those values which aren't 0 could be boldfaced so they stand out? Just a thought. Thanks!
  23. Thanks for the recent update! However, I do have a question. I notice that when you mouse over the mentioned group name there's a pop-up window listing all the members of that group. Is it possible to limit this in case you are addressing a group in which some members might not want their membership known for privacy reasons?
  24. Thanks to @Ocean West and @Myr for their input, and to @All Astronauts for the solution! There was a plugin which needed updating - I had checked it in the Marketplace, and the revisions said something about "errors >=4.6.10" but it said nothing about errors related to upgrading, so I left it. I assumed it wouldn't make any difference because only the system files were being upgraded and hey, why would any other apps/plugins need to be interacted with anyway? Oh, did I mention I'm not a developer? Anyway, I upgraded the plugin in question and the upgrade ran fine. Thanks!
  25. I wish my issues were as simple! I have a VPS, and apparently the PHP error thrown was the following: [02-Feb-2022 00:11:35 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'IPS\Dispatcher' not found in /XXX/init.php:900 Stack trace: #0 /XXX/init.php(874): IPS\IPS::monkeyPatch('IPS', 'Dispatcher', '') #1 [internal function]: IPS\IPS::autoloader('IPS\\Dispatcher') #2 /XXX/init.php(999): spl_autoload_call('IPS\\Dispatcher') #3 [internal function]: IPS\IPS::exceptionHandler(Object(Error)) #4 {main} thrown in /XXX/init.php on line 900 Someone help a brother out?
