You posted in the “my site is broken and it’s my server’s fault” section 😀
I moved it to general help area.

I agree it is much needed.

4.x has the Activity feed, where everything can come together. That’s usually much better than having “forum users” which need special forum announcement to visit other sections as it was before 4.x.

Yeah, they are indexed. It’s not surprising. If you start a new article page, it doesn’t rank well instantly. But your forum already gained credibility. It could change over time if users start linking your articles directly. But it can be confusing with the same content twice on one site. If Google can’t decide where to direct the user, it will also hurt the ranking. You could remove the guest permission for the article forum or not post the articles there at all.

Have you done a site: check to see if it’s really not in the index? Google: “site:https://yoursite.com/your-article-page/”
Chances are, the forum topic just ranks better, because the forum itself has gained more relevance already. (In which case it might be a good idea to hide that article-only forum from search engines.)
Normally, there is nothing to configure. If the articles are public, they will be indexed.

    Hey @opentype, great templates thank-you.
Quick question: is the supergrid block not supposed to have a title (which is set when creating the block?). It would be nice to have a heading above it.
EDIT: Literally just found it in the settings, ignore me! 😂

Many sections (Pages databases, downloads, blogs …) have the option to set a featured image and that will be used automatically.
Forums don’t have that, since no one wants to upload a specific image for that purpose for every singe topic. But this usually helps: https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/8992-og-image-for-forum-topics/

MSUKForum reacted to opentype in Show subscriptions in store?
Subscriptions were originally a sub-type of a regular product. People were often confused by that and a dedicated subscription system was added. So both systems are present now. You can have subscription products in the store and subscriptions which have their own section on the site. The functionality is also a little different. The subscription system is simpler. The user chooses one and can change between the different subscription. And the subscription you have is shown for each user (e.g. on the profile). The product subscriptions system allows more complex scenarios, e.g. buying multiple subscriptions at a time to access different areas of the site through secondary member groups.
So yes, subscription in the store a possible when they are set up as product. I still use that. But if you already use the newer subscription system, it will not show as a regular product in the store.

It would be cool if we could tag usergroups like you can with individual users so everyone in that usergroup gets a notification of that post.
Perhaps have it so only certain groups can do this, as I can imagine it could be abused if everyone has access. It would be handy as an Admin to @subscribers in posts for them for example, like subscriber only contests or info.

    Will there be any?
I've always found the gallery quite cumbersome and with many users it's hard to navigate and find decent content.

You may also want to make edits in the friendly URL settings if you'd like to remove /subscriptions from the URL. Translations don't impact those.

Yes, you can always edit any language strings in ACP > Customizations.
With that said, if your subscriptions don't auto-renew, have you thought about switching to Products?  They might be a better fit for your purpose, and they offer more options.

MSUKForum got a reaction from ASTRAPI in Community Guide on Setting Up Wasabi and CloudFlare
Looks like I spoke too soon, overnight it has got to 31% and appears to be stuck, I can't see anything obvious. I tried running the background processes "now" but this just returns a blank page after doing the infinite loading circle for a while. Not really sure how to diagnose it?
UPDATE: I fixed this by increasing the PHP memory limit.

Woohoo! It works, thanks so much @ASTRAPI
I have 20gb of uploads to move across now, am I okay doing this by switching the filesystem in my IPS dash? Roughly how long could it take?
