That is really unfortunate, we get a lot of topic starters from twitter Embeds, wonder what they are thinking.

Maybe a theme that adhered to the device night mode like Windows and Android do for apps and webpages?

Fun fact; apparently if you block someone from sending you messages, they can actually still do it in conversations that are still open. Did anyone else know about this?
The whole system at this point is a joke on my site. Invision bark on about "Community Moderation" and giving tools to stop toxicity, and then we have this flaccid feature that does effectively nothing. As a member of staff now, @breatheheavy can you ask someone to take a look into this, please? Surely your community is still facing the problems that we all are.

This is due to a disparity of the actual amount of comments and the comments count, especally if there are posts from a person/persons block in that topic.
The comment count function does not work as expected, as calling the function resyncCommentCounts() without removing the blocked person posts will return the wrong result and count. Hence why there are more pages than comments.
I have PM'd Miss_B regarding this issue, but received no answer of yet. 🙂

My members are getting this error when they have a member/s on ignore within the topic. This topic has around 115 pages with over 2700 posts.

So, the Ignore feature is extremely lacking in all of what should probably be essential functionality. Currently, by default, you can only ignore someone's: Forum Posts, Messages, Signatures, and Mentions. While that's great and all, it's an extremely simplistic view of an Ignore/Block function. All major platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc) have a way to Block and/or Ignore a user account. This hides all of that user's comments and contents and/or blocks them from viewing your content and profile. This is a major oversight in functionality that's missing in the IPS software. Not to mention that the Ignore function misses almost all of the other IPS default applications (Pages, Blogs, Gallery, Downloads, Calendar, Statuses, etc). The entire Ignore function feels like it was just slapped on to solve a singular issue (Forums) and never touched again. What an Ignore / Block function should be able to do:
Ignore all or some of a user's content. Block a user from contacting you (Blocking messages and mentions). Blocking a user from your profile and content. Most users prefer Ease of Use with this. If you're blocking someone, you (usually) have a good reason to. The current ignore feature on IPS is basically bare-bones and doesn't really do a great job at what it does. It can definitely be better, and hopefully this can start that.

    Updated to 1.0.2
    New Features
Added a new setting for chatrooms to select the height of the message list and online box Added a new setting for chatrooms to display the message list in a more compact view Changed the permissions for the chatrooms to a permission matrix instead of selecting groups via the chatroom settings Added a feature so when a user submits their message the submit button will fade out stopping any double posts that may occur Added a widget showing a list of all chatrooms and the amount of users online in each ( This only refreshes when the page gets refreshed it is not automatic refresh for the online users ) PLEASE NOTE.....
If updating you will need to go into each chatroom and container in the ACP and re-save the permissions for them, the permissions can be found in the padlock button of the containers and chatrooms

Community please remember this app was just made 😎. Features will be built for it over time and has a lot of greatness to come to it. This is a support section not a feature section. Your welcome to send me message with features. Jack has 20+ apps to manage plus offer support. I will pass them along and reply to who ever.

I don't think a voice over internet is needed as there a lot of other great one's already made like discord, mumble and ts3.

How many windows do you have open? it uses the IPS session and if your online location matches the chatroom, it will put you as online, if maybe you have another tab open and browse the site then your location will change putting you offline
New update coming will have a setting for the size of the chat and online user box set from a minimum 400px to 1200px, Also looking into a setting for new messages at the top or bottom
    Check the demo via mobile

Hate to bring a four year topic back to life, but in case anyone else is still looking for an answer, we just updated the ignore feature on our board to cover the second solution above.

In the Topic View -> post template we created a simple test to check for the _ignored value before the post is rendered:

<if test="userIgnored:|:$post['post']['_repignored'] == 1 || $post['post']['_ignored']"> <!-- USER IGNORED; SKIP POST --> <else /> <!-- SHOW POST --> </if> Works perfectly. Now, if I can get a hook to pass the same _ignored value to the $data array in the forumIndex template I can do the same for entire topics started by ignored users.

I run a large sports forum and we rely on the games to generate traffic. My suggestion is that the calendar be made able to add dates from an outside source. The sports teams release the schedules in formats such as Microsoft outlook calendar files and csv. files. Is it possible to add this function of auto import?
