I just paid the $15 fee out of ignorance because I was scrapping one project and using my license to start another.  Had I realized that I could open a support ticket for this, I'd have done so.
I feel a bit chapped about this, but I'll remember it next time. 😡
  3. Thanks

I don't understand why there is a $15 domain name change fee and why you can only change it once every 6 months free. It doesn't cost IPB anything for me to change my domain name. To me this is the equivalent of an ATM fee when you withdraw money, except in this case from your own bank.

For those worrying about fraud or anything else, as long as only one domain is tied to that license it shouldn't change anything.

So yeah, this is one thing I don't understand, see it as nothing more than a money grab from IPB, and serves no real benefit to the consumer and serves no benefit to IPB other than financially. IPB is the only forum software that I see that does this. I may be missing one, but most don't charge to change the domain.

Charging twice a year if you want to keep downloading things and keep certain features of your forum going is expensive enough. But if you decide to change your domain for any reason, now it costs you an extra $15 for literally no reason other than for the sake of changing it. If some are still worried about potential fraud or hijacking or something, other things could be put into place to prevent it.

This I think is probably one reason people go more to Xenforo and others is because of this. Some people change domain names often while they struggle to find something that works for them. With them you don't get charged to change a domain. Period. You can renew today, then in 5 days or a month or 3 months if you choose to change your domain you simply change it. You don't get charged $15 every time you change it.

This is a hindrance. It serves no tangible benefit other than to make money. IPB never did it for years with no problems. But in recent years started to. And considering how much people already pay for renewals, I don't think it's too much to ask to remove the $15 fee. Period.

It's literally one of the most pointless fees I've seen on here. I love IPB, but that is one thing that absolutely needs to go. No one is handling the domain change other than the consumer. Unless customer service needs to handle it, there should be no fee for it. I'm literally getting charged just to change my domain. Absolutely insanity.

And like I said prior, if some think it's a way to prevent fraudulent actions, there are plenty of other ways to do that. As well, after the 6 months your domain would be open to be changed anyways which changes nothing in regards to possible fraud.

So yeah, it's really gotta go. It's just a pure money grab and is something no one else does. So what's the logical reason for it here? Costs keep going up, as forum popularity keeps going down. I don't think those 2 will go hand in hand very well. So we need to be mindful of things like that this are really pointless fees and serve to benefit no one other than IPB.

I hate to bring a comment back from the dead, but by using Mail Bouncer over the years I have accumulated 42 pages of member accounts, mostly with 0-10 posts, that have failed email validation.  I would like to clean that up by deleting them, or at least deleting the oldest of them.
Any tips or tricks on how to do that?

This is a great app, but may I make a suggestion that would make it even more killer?
Have the app move users who bounce and meet certain criteria (0 approved posts / Not logged in/active in X days) to another group for easy pruning.
My suggestion come from this: My user database is close to 12 years old.  I just sent out a holiday card to my entire user base.  Aside from spreading tidings of comfort and joy, I had ulterior motives.... it would be a great indicator of defunct users.

Very good possibility. Thank you for bringing that up.  I've toggled over to Send Grid based on other feedback I've received from some of my forum-hosting colleagues and so far it seems to be sending emails.  I think you're right that the Classifieds emails were getting sent into an anti-spam black hole of some sort.

@Adriano Faria, as a possible suggestion:  It would be nice if we could define a text block of "Guidelines" per category that are shown when a member opens the form to submit a new advertisement. Perhaps something like this, just a text block that the forum admin could enter the contents of.

I've published an update to resolve all of the compatibility problems I'm aware of. If you have a problem, please update. If that doesn't fix it, explain what's going on.
I do not have Pages, and I have not gotten any confirmation of whether the Pages conflict is still occurring, so that issue may still be out there. If so, I'll need access to someone's site to investigate. Last I hear, though, it may be a non-issue now.
    What's New in Version 3.1.7
Fixed tag overriding prefix when the same value is added as both. Fixed style changes in IPS 4.1.13 breaking multi-word prefixes. Fixed template changes in IPS 4.1.13 breaking display of prefixes on site index. Fixed potential errors with applying prefixes from saved actions. Fixed tag/prefix changes from saved actions not updating the search index (profile, activity stream, search results). Fixed possible division-by-zero error on the tag cloud widget. Added prefix to core topic widgets. A few issues I could not reproduce:
Prefix not showing on grid view (works for me) Prefix input not displaying when creating a topic, with forum in prefix-only mode. (works for me) Homepage topic feed widget -> topic titles not linking when a prefix is present. (This must have been something custom; AT&P didn't add any such thing until, well now.) Fair warning: Most of the app will probably still work back to 4.0.0, but I will not guarantee backwards compatibility across the board anymore. It's just not worth the trouble with how frequently (and massively) things change from one release to the next. If you're running an old IPB version and you have an issue with an AT&P update, I'm going to tell you to update.

I'm aware, actually looking into it right now. Still trying to figure out what they actually changed on me to cause this.
e: found it. They added a bunch of ipsContained classes and table layout styles that are screwing up the work breaks.

    1. The buyer and seller can both leave feedback for each other.
    2. Yes you can erase or modify feedback, as can Moderators if you choose to allow that.

Since installing this, and vehemently advertising its features to my users, I'm yet to get a single person to actually register from invitations... while countless have found us through other means.
Email isn't the best solution for this. Please consider adding referral link functionality to this plugin, or even as a separate addon to this plugin which costs money on its own. Gamers and many other niches don't actively use email. They use Skype, Steam, and other social platforms like that. Having a referral link users can generate to invite others would make this hook so much more worth it.

This very topic contains that information.
I'm on vacation, so my time is extremely limited. In addition to that, I couldn't reproduce the issue it only occurred in certain circumstances. Fortunately @Ziggs provided me with some useful information that allowed me to reproduce the issue and a new version has now been published.

There isn't specifically any direct integration with other apps yet, however the way that Feedback is linked to Classifieds/Topics has been improved. The caveat is that this functionality requires an upcoming change to IPS4, this feature will be disabled until the required change is available.
Within the next 2 weeks would be my best estimate at the moment.
