Greek76 Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Is it possible to use reactions in private messages? If so where do I enable that assuming you're able to. I can't find the option anywhere. Thanks!
Solution Randy Calvert Posted December 31, 2021 Solution Posted December 31, 2021 Reactions are not available within private messages or within the warning system. (Meaning other moderators cannot use reactions when commenting on other internal conversations in the warning discussion.) SeNioR- and Greek76 2
Greek76 Posted December 31, 2021 Author Posted December 31, 2021 Ah that stinks and thanks for the response.

Made a quick test and seems to work just fine: It sends the notification: And the most important: it doesn't show anywhere, since message is a private thing: Let me know if anyone wants to test it. If no issue is found, I will submit to marketplace. SeNioR- 1
Daniel F Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 It's intentional that it's done this way to avoid that people like their own content with an alter ego account which would increase their reputation without really noticing where and why it was increased. SeNioR- and Adriano Faria 2
Adriano Faria Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 Agreed. Anyway, I think this should be an admin’s decision. He can control new accounts with email validation, check IP address, restrict messenger for the initial group, restrict number of reactions per day, etc. SeNioR-, PrettyPixels, Greek76 and 1 other 3 1

Greek76 Posted December 31, 2021 Author Posted December 31, 2021 So far it works like a charm. Thanks Adriano!
PrettyPixels Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 @Adriano Faria I'd love to test this out, too. 🙂 Adriano Faria 1

PrettyPixels Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 Just did some testing and it's working perfectly! Thanks, @Adriano Faria! 🙂 Adriano Faria 1

Trait + column ID in the conversation or message model (kinda drunk now). 😀 Can’t even charge for it. It’ll be free. Edited January 1, 2022 by Adriano Faria SeNioR-, Ryan Ashbrook and rastafari 3
Adriano Faria Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 Based in Daniel's explanation above, I added a setting so the admin can now choose trusted user groups who will be able to react in private messages: People that cannot react are still able to receive reactions. SeNioR- and Greek76 2
