Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted May 29, 20168 yr Just had a PM from kelvin962 who is not a client. Total spam, but no way to report. Also not sure why visitors can pm. Perhaps being off should be the default?
May 29, 20168 yr He/she is a member of the site, in the Visitors group. Ignoring the fact it's spam - why should there be restrictions on who and who can't use PM system on here?
May 29, 20168 yr Had the same issue show up as an email.... clicked the IPS return - Nothing there... Go back to email - DELETE! Fixed.
May 29, 20168 yr Its OK it was a 'PM Spammer' , it will show 'deleted' now or no message as they were flagged as such which has removed their spam content. Bear in mind here the "Visitor" group is what would be on most communities the "Member" group, ie: those who have registered and validated their account.
May 29, 20168 yr Author Thanks. True, but there is no way to report such PMs. Maybe a feature for the future.
