FCB-ROGA Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Just installed this, and I'm wondering if there is a way to get all 6000 members to default "on" for notifications rather than default "off" for notifications. I tried the recache notifications things.... all are still "off" so to speak. Anything else I can do easily to get them on?
FCB-ROGA Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 I also seem to be having an issue in which it only works some of the time. See this post on my board to see what I'm talking about:http://www.tiki-taka.org/forums/index.php/topic/4-suggestions-and-discussion/page__st__1080__p__666981#entry666981
FCB-ROGA Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Figured out my problem, need to use the alternative search. Now it is working well. However, I noticed I can't tag myself..... is that supposed to be the case?

I tried the recache notifications things.... all are still "off" so to speak. Anything else I can do easily to get them on? This is my one remaining issue. Would love an easy way to get 6000+ members all notification on by default with one key. Maybe in the hook settings you should have a button that gives you that option: Click to turn notification on for all members of your board.

FCB-ROGA Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 What problem did you solve with alternative search??? The one in which it was not recognizing all @names in a post, only some of them, and only some of the time.I've also noticed that this is not working in a forum I have for moderators only. Not sure why that permission configuration for that forum would make a difference though :(
Ibai Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Sometimes my users do not get notifications when they are @mentioned. How is this working exactly? Why sometimes they don't get notification?
ibnyaffa Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 does this work for 3.1.4 ? i know it says for a later ver.. but sometimes new hooks will work on old boards any idea? if you dont know il be more than happy to test ( will pay full price if works )
peleh Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Just installed this, and I'm wondering if there is a way to get all 6000 members to default "on" for notifications rather than default "off" for notifications. I tried the recache notifications things.... all are still "off" so to speak. Anything else I can do easily to get them on? This is very important, why is it not ON by default? In this current state, I'll have to tell the users to turn this ON by themselves... Edit: Oh, I Think I spotted the config on AdminCP -> Members -> Notification Defaults(Key: post_mentions)
Mike Julliard Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Just bought this and it's great, but is there a way to make it support IP.Blog as well? I haven't tested any other apps, but does it work elsewhere?
FCB-ROGA Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Edit: Oh, I Think I spotted the config on AdminCP -> Members -> Notification Defaults(Key: post_mentions) Yeah, I found that too, but that only makes it so all new members that register have that default, it doesn't go back and change it for those already in your system. Does anyone know how to force a default notification setting to go back to default setting for all users?
Harald Ponce de Leon Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Feature suggestion: Remove the mention link in the profile pane when the topic has been archived.
Ely R. Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Is it normal that I don't receive a notification when mentioned?? How do I remove the "@mention" in the sidepane under the user info? Thanks!
Ely R. Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 It seems that users have to "allow" the notifications to happen. New members automatically have the notification set as enabled. Can I force all members to have this as enabled? Even the old ones.
Ely R. Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 One more question: How do I remove the "@mention" link from the user pane?
Kev@ITK Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Is there a way for admin to mention ALL members at once?
Kev@ITK Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I now seen the author has not posted since April but is still happy to receive funds. Bit naughty in my opinion.
Ely R. Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Correct. He should indeed give us some support or make the hook free.
Ely R. Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Would someone care to develop this hook or create a new one with support?
Chetan105 Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 With this Hook enabled and IPB 3.4 , and when I click on Recache Apps and Modules under Manage Applications & Modules , i get the below error Fatal error: Class 'skin_global_47' not found in /admin/sources/classes/output/public Output.php(3787) : eval()'d code on line 15
