Michael Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 It happens after selecting the search criteria and clicking "Filter" Can you see if the attached /admin/applications_addon/other/shoutbox/sources/classes/library.php file fixes it?

xChris777 Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Michael, how can I get the SB to only show from the Shoutbox tab? Sorry for taking your time.
Michael Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Michael, how can I get the SB to only show from the Shoutbox tab? Sorry for taking your time. Disable the global shoutbox hook.
Michael Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Thanks for trying. It looks like you only have 64M of memory allocated instead of the PHP recommended 128, but I don't know if that would help. Unfortunately, I don't have much I can suggest as IP.Board's memory debugging doesn't let me see what goes on in an ajax function like this. I'll put in a suggestion to have them change that in a future version, but given my track record of having things like this added, I wouldn't hold out too much hope.

JK.NK Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 I'm using shoutbox 1.1.5. Everytime the shoutbox refreshes, it is showing "Loading..." on my main board regardless whether you are looking at the shoutbox or not. Is there a way to get rid of this?
Michael Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 That Loading box shows every time an ajax operation executes in IP.Board. The Shoutbox refreshing is an ajax function, so it will show that. No, you can't turn it off.
Axel Wers Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Since I upgraded to 1.2.1 no button works. I type message, click on Send and nothing happens. Probably something with js. Any solution?
Michael Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 http://community.invisionpower.com/topic/340044-download-shoutbox/ The description of this file notes that this is the version of this application for IP.Board 3.0/3.1 and links you to the correct version for IP.Board 3.2. To answer your question, redownload version 1.2.1 and make sure you have the latest javascript files. They were patched shortly after the release of that version, so you may have the old versions on your site. As with any update to javascript files, make sure you do a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5) to ensure they are loaded. If this does not work, then post in that other topic.
Elly Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Sorry if this might take extensive work, but I was wondering if there was an easy way to implement John Resig's prettydate.js (http://ejohn.org/blog/javascript-pretty-date/) with Shoutbox?
Michael Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 That looks just like the relative dates that IP.Board already supports.
Axel Wers Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Ah yes, there are two topics with the same title, therefore I was confused. OK, I'll try to download and reupload again, thanks.
Kandice Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 The Green Loading Bar the very top keep flashing when I have this Mod install, it does it randomly after awhile. Sometime it just stuck there without going away. Is there anyway to disable it?
Michael Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 It shows up when the Shoutbox refreshes, if you don't want it to ever show up, then stop the Shoutbox from auto refreshing.
Kandice Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 If I stop the shoutbox from refreshing, will new message be display? Thanks!
Michael Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 No, they'll only show up when the Shoutbox refreshes.
Kandice Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 I have a problem with this mod where I set it to 10 minutes: We've noticed that you've been inactive for over 10 minute(s). We've stopped running the Shoutbox due to your inactivity. If you are back again, please click the I'm Back button below. After that the image bar will keep flashing until I click on something or click I'm Back.
Michael Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 I cannot reproduce that. I just tested this on my site and it doesn't do that. Are you using the IP.Board 3.2 version of this app? Because you're posting in the support topic for the IP.Board 3.0/3.1 version.

Because you're posting in the support topic for the IP.Board 3.0/3.1 version. Sorry I posted in the wrong section, I'm using version 1.2 Shoutbox for IPBoard 3.2.2. I will try to remove the shoutbox installation and do a fresh install and let you know and post in the support for 1.2 version. But can you post here your setting? Mine seam to be strange that it take longer to refresh then any other people site even to the point of the loading just stuck there.
Kandice Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Does anyone have a problem with the loading Refresh for this mod install on a IPBoard latest version 3.2.2? I set it to stop inactivity within 10 minutes. After this come up: We've noticed that you've been inactive for over 10 minute(s). We've stopped running the Shoutbox due to your inactivity. If you are back again, please click the I'm Back button below. The loading bar at the top will keep flashing until click I'm back or I have to click stuff on the forum for it to go away:
Michael Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 I can't reproduce that in this version either.
Kandice Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 What IPBoard version are you using? It have to be 3.2.2.
