Enkidu Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 As a matter of fact, Mister Data, it's something that requires a sense of humor to get. <_< I'm sorry but I have installed a laugh inhibitor of lame jokes...sometimes called life :P
Wolfie Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I'm sorry but I have installed a laugh inhibitor of lame jokes...sometimes called life :P It's malfunctioning, Jaggi's joke wasn't lame, it was rather clever.
Fishfish0001 Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I got the joke, just didn't know about the =, ==, ===
Abomination Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I think Jaggi's joke went over a lot of heads :P They're different things. A single = is of course an assignment operator, a double (or triple) = is a comparison operator. Thank you! I am unfamiliar with this specific language, but in all the languages I do know, what you typed it how it works.(thought I was going even more senile)
Jaggi Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 lol oh god what did i start. Although kind of proud i managed to derail a topic so badly. Yes it was just a joke but i though the "in an ideal world..." bit would signify that (since theres no such thing). But yea...
Fishfish0001 Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Imagine a geek convention with that on the shirt... Wehew.
skinbydragonfly Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 LOL and that is why I came up with it in the first place.. :P Pseudo code is funny for anyone with a technical bent! If you don't get it you aren't a geek... but you see the IPB logo and you might remember it. If you get it but argue the semantics you're definately a geek... and the T works to get you involved. Everyone's a winner baby :D [url="
Collin1000 Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Are we ever going to get real shirts made? If not, there are some real winners that might want to open up a Cafepress store. :whistle:
AlexWright Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I'd love to see one in the fashion of Star Trek (TNG of course...only tng had the cool shirts :P) with just the IPS logo on the front upper right, large enough to be of significance. Shirt color would be black with (green, red, blue, yellow, gray, etc :P). Just my two cents.

[img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] On the back, optional name (like mine would say "Wolfie". :)
AlexWright Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Yes, exactly wolfie. Those look great (w00t) I'd buy one in every color :P Edit: How'd I miss those? O.o
Wolfie Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Yes, exactly wolfie. Those look great (w00t) I'd buy one in every color :P Edit: How'd I miss those? O.o Not sure. :lol: They used the same/similar style on DS9 and Voyager from what I remember. It is a nice design indeed as it is simple, stylish and you could wear it anywhere and not look 'strange'. Difference with what I pasted up is that the collars are regular T-shirt style, not stiff necked. Then again, not trying to really imitate the ST shirts, just the color style is nice. Also, the yellow wasn't really part of the ST world. The orange is closer to the third color scheme (red, blue, 'amber' even though it looked orange). I think it was supposed to be a really dark/heavy shade of amber.
AlexWright Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Off topic: I think you're right, it did indeed look orange, but I guess you could pull it off as 'amber'. On Topic: So, when will these STIP.B shirts be released so I can buy 2000 of them and resell them :P (j/k, just 1 of each color)
Camoo Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 simple, but effective. Thats really great :thumbsup:
AnthonyKinson Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Missing the dot.. "IP.Shirt". :D i was trying to decide wether or not to put the dot in, but it's not in the logo on the forum or anything :lol:
Enkidu Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 simple, but effective. really nice but I don't think IPShirt is a registered trademark. It might be better, IMO, to just say: IPBoard :)
AnthonyKinson Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 really nice but I don't think IPShirt is a registered trademark. It might be better, IMO, to just say: IPBoard :) Having just IPBoard would take away the comedy value of the design in the first place :lol:
Camoo Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Yes its the IPShirt that makes it an insider joke :)
