Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
backdream Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Compare to IPB, the http://getsatisfaction.com/ is more quickly and friendly, Go ahead , IPB.
backdream Posted July 22, 2009 Author Posted July 22, 2009 More features and good interface, and it's IE 6 compatibility.More features and good interface, and it's IE 6 compatibility.
Management Matt Posted July 22, 2009 Management Posted July 22, 2009 The words "Future" and "IE6" are at odds with each other. I am aware of the service and while it's great for off-the-cuff discussion it's not really designed as a fully feature forum. It's too basic in terms of moderation and managing discussions.
backdream Posted July 22, 2009 Author Posted July 22, 2009 [quote name='Matt' date='22 July 2009 - 05:40 PM' timestamp='1248255603' post='1830646'] The words "Future" and "IE6" are at odds with each other. I means the old browser also can enjoy the modern interface  , But in IPB 3, we must change, and lose speed.
DarkRider Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 [quote name='.Wolfie' date='22 July 2009 - 10:39 AM' timestamp='1248255599' post='1830645'] I looked. I'm not satisfied. Aye, me neither, nor impressed. Looks like a pretty low end operation, I'll trust my site to IPB thanks. If you skim the forums here there are just as many "satisfied" customer comments, looks to me like on that site they've swept their dirt under the carpet to give the illusion of total satisfaction. At least the blokes at IPB are willing to face their complainants head on and try to render assistance anyway, even when some folks have been rather rude about it! Apples and lemons I think, just no comparing them. ;)
TrixieTang Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 This is just another thread about how IE6 isn't supported. But there is a solution to that problem, and that is... Problem solved.Stop using IE6.
Will Munny Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 If there's anyone still using IE6 (presently 12 or 13 percent of my visitors), I don't really want them on my site any way. Stupid people p!$$ me off.
Klisis Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 It's not even in the same market, and I am not willing to pay 279 dollars a month or even pay 899 dollars a month to have "better" SEO options.
Jυra Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 [quote name='Klisis' date='23 July 2009 - 08:47 PM' timestamp='1248378479' post='1831914'] It's not even in the same market, and I am not willing to pay 279 dollars a month or even pay 899 dollars a month to have "better" SEO options. That pretty much sums it up. And I really had no idea what I was looking at for a while.

And I really had no idea what I was looking at for a while. Whew, I thought I was the only one looking at it like, "WTF are they offering here?"
Rheddy Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 I'm not impressed either. That site should be called gotnosatisfaction.com
Cody Woolaver Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Why should new technology be held back by old technology? IE 6 users have had three years to upgrade. I'm not sure why people continue to use such a featureless, insecure browser. Can someone explain it to me?
3DKiwi Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 No satisfaction for me either. Re IE6. Tell your members to upgrade or use Firefox. 3DKiwi
