Fairly often we get a post that sends a topic completely off the rails and we'd like to remove that original post and all other subsequent posts stemming from that original post. Any way to do that easily? rather than finding and deleting each post individually? Thanks!

We created a new DB for accepting requests from our members. After completing the fields, it shows the submission field - correct way. BUT it also shows the entries of other member are record category page. Any clue with which permission we can hide that? So that each member can only view their entry and not 100 others members pvt data. Please help. Thanks in advance. Domain/db_name/records - Should not be visible to anyone other than ADMIN. Domain/db_name/records/gaurav-r2 - Should be visible to the member who created the request and not everyone.

Is there a feature/function in the chat boards were a moderator/admin can block a user's posts completely? Not just the ignore feature, but a way to remove that "blocked" user's posts from showing up as quoted in another users posts? We want to be able to hide referenced posts/quotes by ignored users in other’s posts. Thanks

I could not find a topic on this, hope it's ok to post here. In the topic list we get a preview text with every topic, this is a preview of the first post. Is it possible to show the last post in the topic? Via a setting i overlooked or a plugin?

My users are often confused because they can't write in our (public) clubs. The problem in most cases is that they would have to become a member of the club first. Unfortunately, this is not made so clear. One solution would be to change the club to "open". But then there is not the possibility for users to join. Or am I overlooking a setting that a group is public AND you can join as a member? Or for public clubs that all users can write independent of membership in club?

Hi, Maybe it was just some other user's suggestion, but I though it was possible to moderate all publications from a single user. If it is possible (otherwise than through a warning) I can't manage to find out where... I need that functionality for potential spammers suspected profiles, just to see what happens before letting them post as much as they want anywhere...

I was wondering if maybe I am doing something wrong? I have enabled in ACP>Members>Notifications>Automatically follow content> I have checked both create and reply to, but for some reason it doesn't seem to be working. Now I know that a member can set this themselves, but even I have this enabled, and if I create a topic or reply it does not automatically allow me to follow it. Is there something that I am missing? I have also reset all members to default before enabling this as well. Shouldn't it just work? It works fine here on IPS when I create or replay to a topic I automatically follow it. EDIT* I just assumed that enabling this option enforced …

After the setup instructions on using Rocket.Chat and the IPB OAuth API I thought I would share the settings for using Matrix Chat. Matrix in itself is more a specification. Its reference server is called Synapse. One of the well known Web Client is called Element-web (previously called Riot). There are several clients available to choose from. I want to hire someone to make a custom app for my website, but before I do that, I'm just wondering if we are able to have a c++ application handle login and registrations on app. So it would also create a profile on site if they registered through the app. Or i could haave register link to the register page in a browser but would login still be do able ? Im on community in the cloud but I do realize I may have to host myself to have full control.

I remember there was some progress bar once a user registered... To set up the user photo, etc. What is that called? I cannot find it for the life of me. Onboarding? Set Up? Profile Configuration? Profile Progress? I want to see if I can modify it now that I can make use of it. Thanks!

So I started up my community and am heavily using pages, so the first question I have is whether it is possible to edit the wiki-style editing option so that whenever someone changes something in an article, an admin has to confirm that change. If that is already possible, I would appreciate how to set it up. The other question is whether it is possible to use tables in pages/articles since I basically want to set up a bunch of lists in one category.

Hi, I'm new to language packs and wondering if this will suit my needs. I would like my site to be readable in a different language. Hello, It's not easy to custom the Pages's templates. This point should be improved, in my opinion. Currently, I'd like to delete the author line, in a feed blocks (bottom right block "définitions réédités" : https://www.dicopsy.com/) Because I'm the only one to add record, so that line is repetitive. But I don't find out how to do that, in the templates. So, where is it, please ? And which line, exactly ? Thank you

I migrated from vBulletin 4 using the converter for a self hosted installation. Everything went very smoothly with the single exception that the past 10 months of posts in all forums disappeared. I ran the converter again on just the forum posts and users and it finished nearly instantly with no change. Anyone have any ideas?

I have a German project. The date is shown like: September 20, 2021 It should be: 20. September, 2021 Where can I change this? I have Plesk with Debian (both latest). The Locale for language in ACP is correct. This is not crucial, but I do not like this. Can I change it somewhere? Is it OS, Plesk or PHP setting?

I have a subdomain: subdomain.mysite.com that I have setup access using "Connect Two Invision Communities". I only want people to login via the "Existing user? Sign In" I do not want anyone to create an account via the "Sign Up" button. How do I disable "Sign Up" button as shown below:

My question is simple. How taxes calculate percentage % for each country the customer is located? For example if someone from US i think its 0% , but if someone from australia its 10% . is there a ready list for all country taxes? or its already loaded in IPS?
