I'm not sure if this is a 2.2 bug, I was posting in here anyway. I cannot edit my posts on this site made yesterday. Is it just me, or is it a new feature, or have IPS just changed their settings on allowing users to edit posts? Also, I am very fond of the new quick access and "insert special item" for custom BBCodes, however, any chance that: The default names can be changed so they are not capsWe can add our own imagesThe defaults have images (in relation to above suggestion)

"Add new forum" in ACP forum listing

In the ACP, in the Management section, we have the controls for forums and everything. We can add a forum to a category and do everything else. One thing bugs me though. When adding a subforum to an existing forum, we have to click New Forum on the bottom, then fill in the parent forum info. I personally would like to see a link that had "New Subforum" or something to that effect, where we could very simply add a subforum, just like what is available when you click on a category. I'm not sure how useful many other people could find this, but it could make the board just that much simpler to use...

Hi, The latest news post about the release of IPB v2.2.0 mentions that IP.Downloads 1.1.0 is also available as part of the components. I've looked in the Downloads section of the Client Centre and its not there and there is no link to it on the Invision site. Any ideas? Thanks!

Parachat broken fix (if you can't wait for an upgrade)

I thought since IPB staff is pretty busy I would help out and post a hot fix for parachat not loading. They have fixed it and it will be corrected in the near future in a patch, but for now I have detailed the steps to fix it manually (only need to edit one skin file). Personal Pictures -> not visible after update

Yesterday done a very quick upgrade from 2.1.5 to 2.20. Everything works fine. Just one thing is missing : all Personal Photo's uploaded in profile by the members are not visible. Is it possible to retrieve them ?

Displaying Dates

Hi, There seems to be absolutily no standard in how the board displays dates & times... I've found the following formats... Mar-1-1999 19-April 01 Dec 7 2006, 12:14 PM 29 Nov 2006 30th October 2006 - 11:50 PM 12 Nov 2006 - 23:44 MM-DD-YYYY They need to be standardised, and there should be a setting at the user level to specify the format (ie US/Europe formats)

Currently people can buy a Perpetual licence for $185.00 which includes all future updates and 1 year of support and services. Subsequent support and services can be purchased for US$30 per year. The new pricing scheme is supposed to be cheaper for people who do not require much support but in reality this is not the case since for the Standard Licence price of US$149.00 you only get 6 months of upgrades. Someone who requires no support but wishes to keep running the latest version of IPB will have to shell out an extra US$25 every 6 months to keep getting the latest upgrades. Personally, I hate starting a board and then having to do some makeshift staff application that long story short makes my site just look like you dont wanna be a part of it cause of bein cheap. I would like to see an optional and customizeable staff application panel for easy management of incoming staff. It'd be nice if you could also just click a button straight from this panel and boom they're moderators (with acp-preset permissions and whatnot) btw, sorry if this has already been requested/suggested

Just like we get warned in admin cp when there is a install folder, admin should be alerted that there is an upgrade folder which needs to be renamed or deleted too. :rolleyes:
