Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
iMonkey Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 I've been browsing for a few minutes today and I've been noticing the fewer amount of locked topics here, and more support, followed by "go here in the future" requests.I just wanted to say that you guys are handling these much better, and wanted to give you credit for your new additional patience. ;)
Management Charles Posted December 8, 2006 Management Posted December 8, 2006 It is a temporary hiatus :)We are going to have to keep locking those posts not made in the proper area as it causes mass confusion and, later, complaints because issues were not addressed. It's hard to address issues when our staff doesn't find them where they are looking.
iMonkey Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 understandable and I'm in total agreement. I've just noticed mainly that the way you guys are informing them of their posting in the wrong section, or taking the incorrect course of action, is in a way that does not make the user feel like they're being insulted or just plain "shut down".As a tech support d00d and an owner of an irc network with a strong helper program, I look out for these things. Being polite and making the user feel welcome keeps them coming back :)
