Ok I have seen this has been asked about 100 times but all the links seem to end in 404 :( I have a new board and would like to just move the members over to the new board. The forums are a different layout and have a new look and different mods so I would not think that the members posts would fit well so just the members would be nice. Any advice welcome lol

I use the convertor to convert phpbb2 plus to IPB ! I can convert everything except attachments.. Not sure if this has ever been suggested before. I did a little searching and couldn't find anything similar to this. Technically you can do this, but the implementation (and presentation) is pretty ugly and it only works if the skin file has already been loaded. So here goes: I'd like to see html logic added that allows a template to call for another template to be included. This would allow for components and IPB to load logic-less templates to others without PHP manipulation. Why would you have your sales set up so that when a customer purchases a plug-in they need to go in and notify you it needs...plugged in? I mean, I can only think of one reason you'd purchase an IP plug-in and it's not to pet it and call it George. :blink: A plug-in purchase should go straight to a service rep's task folder. But I'm new and could be totally blind to a legit need to have it set up this way.

Can IPS provide any updates on the next release of IP.Board? I'm not asking for a feature list, road map or whatever. Just curious if the next release is being worked on, and if you're planning another bug fix release or a 2.4? 2.3 was released last June, 9 months ago. Thanks!

Maybe it's been suggested before, but I sure would like to see a search function in the ACP. This would help admins find certain sections of the ACP without looking everywhere and wasting time. I just tried to find the area where I set up forum pruning. I spent 10 minutes looking for it, and still haven't found it!

We've been running Invision Powerboard now for a little over a year now... We've been very happy with it and recommended it to several business associates, and many of them have implemented it into their sites. Up until this point we thought the support was very nice and documentation was complete. Well, this past weekend we had a hot thread that racked up over 50 pages of posts :thumbsup: . So this morning the forum is running very slow, and people are getting error pages. So I decide I'll come on over to the Invision SUPPORT forums and see what the community had to say about this. Here`s an idea :D Add a line (probably init.php would be a good place) :unsure: , to disable access to the SQL Toolbox area completely. As if anyone gains root access, you can at least limit (a bit) what they can do. Something like... define ( 'SQL_TOOLBOX', 0 ); To turn it off (ideally by default it should be off, just imo) Just a thought anyway ;)

The profile page needs an online indicator... Sometimes I don't get to a member's profile from a post... I get to it from a PM or something... I click on their name and I have to scroll all the way down and look at their "Last Seen" thing, which may or may not mean they're online (they could have logged out). Please add an online indicator somewhere near the top.

I just discovered today that in IP.B v2.3.4 that there is a limitation on images for the creation of help files by the 'Tools & Settings | Topics, Posts & Polls" setting. This is a BUG and needs to be looked at. EXAMPLE in the 'Tools & Settings | Topics, Posts & Polls" setting, say you have the "Max. no. images per post" set to 5, NOW you want to create a HELP file that has more than 5 images, you CAN'T, you are stuck at 5 images and must increase this setting to get your HELP posted correctly. ALSO The HELP files should ACCEPT HTML and not convert it to BBC. Help files are suppose to be easy to ready and full of detailed info for your community, not…

If Today's active topics is clicked and there are no topics, an error message is returned. This is not particularly useful. It would be much better to offer the option of viewing recent topics. It also impossible to get to a window where you can easily view recent topics. Our forum is one where it has very low usage at times and it is common for only several topics to be posted in a week. Therefore it would be really useful if instead of Today's active topics, that if there aren't any, you are given the option to view recent topics over the last week or longer.

Hi. I understand this is not a tech support forum per se - but I'd appreciate any feedback (from fellow customers or IP staff). Here's my situation: Just got back from vacation and was advised (by my Mod) that the site has been down since Friday. She tried to get it resolved with 'Jason' from IP. Although she stated he was very helpful, of course, there are limits (as SHE is not exactly the client) - also, he had requested things of her that she couldn't do (run queries etc).
