Cool, but I would still like to see some additional tools like "Bookmarks"(mark my favorite searches), "History"(Last 10 searches), "Find text"(find on this page for html and css unlike the browser find and limited to the section we are working in), "Site Preview"(shows preview of site useful when editing). It would be even nicer to use an accordian style to compact this area to reduce scrolling. I loved the old style and missed it when it was there before as you mentioned, but with all the new techy trends out it can be further enhanced I feel. I would like to realize a multiforum. And for each category i want have a different skin. Unfortunately the skin in IPB is changing to the default-skin if someone jumps to the login-/register-screen. This means, it is not possible to have completly different skins and it is not possible to offer to customers different owned (sub)forums with their skins overall within one installed IBP-instance. The target for this feature-request is, that i would like offer to some societies their own forum with one software-installation of IPB. Therefore the login/register-skin should have the same look-and-feel as the choosed forum-skin. And this could be different from one to …

I think a setting that allows us to set a forum where all post reports go, instead of it spamming all of our mods emails. This would also allow moderators to reply to the thread when they have handled the situation. Also, if moderators could only see reports of threads in forums that they have moderatory access to. Or you could make this part of the modcp you guys should be making...

The current RSS (Really Simple Syndication for the search engines) feed capability is lacking in one area that I would like to see fixed for the 3.0 release. How it works now: Currently you will only get a single item in the feed for every new topic started. Embedded post images (whether attached or embedded) do not show up in the feed. You cannot tell which sub-forum the post originated from. How I want it to work: [must have] I would like to have an RSS item in the feed for every new post . Some ideas I've had recently. A New feature for POLLS - Permissions: + guests can vote your poll? (YES | NO) + guests can see the results? (YES | NO) + members can vote to polls but can't see the results? (YES | NO) + prevent users from seeing voting results? Here is my suggestion. If there could be a setting that we can enable so that after a random number of posts (the admin determins the frequency), the next post you need to enter an image varification, and you need to enter it to make a post or send a PM. A bot, cant do this, so once a bot makes like 20 posts, it will need to enter a varification. Or it could be a question. Kind of like what guests need to do inorder to post or search on some boards.

Is converting from iso-8859-7 to utf-8 possible?

Hello people. I 've been using iso-8859-7 in my General Configuration Charset option until now, but lately I've bought a commercial brodge for IPB and Joomla. And for this to work, the IPBs database must be converted to UTF-8 first. When I see the tables content in phpMyAdmin, greek characters are question marks etc.. I know I must export the database and change it's encoding with some proccess so the greek will be displayed right, but i dont know the exact way to do this. Notes: I changed the databases' and tables collation to utf-8 from latin_swedish_ci. The forum's charset is still 8859-7, because when I tried to change it to utf-8 everything was displayed as quest…

I think that for skinning, there should be an option that says "Set to default." Then, when you press revert, it will revert back to what it was when you pressed Set to default.

Mail-Out: When sending in HTML format, to have the ability to specify what to display if the user has HTML disabled would be VERY beneficial. At present if it's disable on the email client then it's going to display the HTML code. which can really turn members off and may cause them to unsubscribe and even report as spam... I'm confused over which license I now have and which I must purchase...if I have to. My site has used the Invision software since 2003. I purchased the site from the previous owner in January 2005, and everything was transferred over to my name. When the license changes were happening, I was very busy and any information emailed to me was confusing and I had no time to come to the board to read about it in order to figure it out. Dont know if I posted this earlier. When a server apache doesnt reboot properly, then you can download .php files, eg if you type forums.invisionpower.com/index.php the file index.php can be downloaded. likewise config.php can be downloaded. So if config.php file is not fetched directly in other php files, but instead lets say index.php says <? include 'config.php'; ?> but instead if it says <? include 'config-fake.php'; ?> and config-fake.php says <? include 'config.php'; ?> and the true config.php be decided by the forum admin, where to hide the file/rename it , or whatever...

Hello, The first of my suggestions is quick and simple, I think we should be able to hide the first post in a topic without it hiding the whole topic. Reason; The first post might have something secret and people find out afterwards, another important reason is the first post might need hiding to leave the topic intact for normal users to see a message left by a Mod/Admin on the topic. Secondly, rather than posts becoming fully invisible to members, I suggest for an option inside the ACP which allows us to leave a custom message in all hidden posts which normal members would see, staff would still see the real message. I have a few users who have requested that they be able to block/hide the avatar of some users and I want to know if this is possible. I have the "hide my signature" mod installed and that's been great so I'm hoping that there is something like that for avatars and although I've done a bit of searching I haven't been able to find one. As of now, those of us with perpetual licenses are basically barred from any resources/support for IPB. My suggestion is this: Leave the current ticket support setup as is, and force us to renew our license for official IPS Staff support, however, open up the peer to peer support forum to perpetual license holders. I can't really see how this would harm IPS in terms of profit, unless, for some reason the majority of revenue is coming from support renewals? Regardless, it would be nice to have *some* support options available.
