Hello, Just some feedback regarding your ticket system, its perfect, but as for the replies them selves, its really delays and slow, I submitted a ticket about my hosted community about a problem and by the time they replied the issue had sorted it self, I think that support responses should be faster, it ain't just because of the new release of IP.Board, as it was like this way before then. Just my 2 quid!

I just noticed if a member deletes a post they had created (or a moderator/admin deletes a post) to the trashcan it now becomes a new topic and gets listed in the Recently Added Topics window box thing on the index page. I don't think it should be like this? Would be nice if it can be configured to ignore certain forums (such as the Trashcan) or just ignore split topics/unassigned topics... Ted.

One gripe that I have with the IPB software is that I have to do so much scrolling up and down just to post a topic/reply after editing the content. There's so much wasted space above the message body. Could it go there?

I believe I have been a customer since 04. I usually do my own upgrades, but life happened lol, and I had IPB do my upgrade to 3.0.1. First, they worked so fast, hours really only. Not only am I happy with how fast they worked, but that they made me verify that I had a backup- that was awesome. Then, the board...wow. I liked 3.0. I LOVE 3.0.1. In 3.0 I had to modify the skins to show authors in my new content- 3.0.1 has an amazing amount of information, more than I could have ever hoped for. I love it so much, as do my nearly 400 members. I am so thankful to all of you IPB employees and everyone here that test the software, I couldn't ask for a better platform to…

There have been many times recently when the board won't respond (or if it does it takes a few minutes). I know it's not my connection because I'll try the site from another location (remotely of course) and have the same issue. Then when it's responding, I can check the online users and during the time period the board wasn't responding, there was no activity. This time when I came into this feedback forum, it gave an error message and the CPU usage was enormously high. What's going on? :(

well in the last period i saw many people that utilized that links aren't rel="nofollow" so i suggest to add a setting in the ACP that turn on the rel="nofollow" on the links.. (only in topics) its tied to seo... like in blogs they using rel="nofollow"

I submitted a ticket yesterday, but probably won't receive a response until Monday..... Does anyone know how I can renew an expired IP.Board subscription? Is it still 25.00 for 6 months? It expired 01/10/09. But I don't see anyway in the Client Area to just renew.... Thanks!

I've been using IPB since the 2.0 days. In this time, I've had about 3 or 4 different licenses, and I've had my current one since 2.3. The last time I had to actually use IPS's support was in the 2.3.0-2.3.4 phase, because...well, we all know how many bugs 2.3.0 had :lol:. Apparently, I've forgotten what it's like. Of course, with 3.0 and its immaturity, more issues have come up, and I've needed to submit a few tickets since then. Most recently were two I sent in yesterday, one about registrations not working and the other about a problem with the language files. For a long, long, long time (version IPB2+ onwards) I have had the problem of "new content" not always showing up everything or anything when I click through to read new topics and posts that have been created from when I last visited the board. I read in IPB3 all this was to be redone to improve/fix this problem and also make it better when logging in from different machines (like at home or work for example). You can imagine my disappointment this morning when I checked my board and I had a number of new topics and posts but when clicking "new content" all I got was, "Sorry, no new content found." The "Insert Image" toolbar button currently only allows inserting images by URLs -- it would be nice if it would give you the option to specify a local file path. Right now, inserting a (local file) image into a post (inline with the text) is too hard -- I have to upload it as an attachment and then choose to insert into the post. Note that 99% of the time that I'm inserting an image in-line into my post I'm uploading a local file, not referencing the image by URL. I like the way that GMail allows you to upload and insert images directly into a post, as shown below:

The Ctrl+K keyboard short-cut should be assigned to "Insert Link" toolbar button. This is how MS Office and other apps work.

I have a few suggestions that would greatly improve the usability of IP.Subscriptions. One would be the ability to select groups allowed to purchase a specific package. Also, packages that are free would not go through a payment gateway (working on a custom gateway for free packages for now). Free packages are a good way to allow users to join a specific group that doesn't necessarily have any premium benefits (sort of like a volunteer group). - Nick

I have a small request to make for future updates to IPB (hopefully 3.0.1 :P). I would like to see the option to change the default post view threshold for members, as discussed here. The default is "Currently viewing all posts", but I would like to be able to change this to a custom threshold of "Hiding all posts below -3 points" by default (or however many points you choose). This would be a great way for the community to actively moderate topics, by negative voting on unsuitable posts. Once enough negative votes have been made, the post will be hidden. Sort of like "burying" on Digg.

"New Posts Since Last Visit" Missing in IPB 3.x.... Why? My members really want this and also "active topics". When they come back to the site most of them go for these links immediately to find out "what's new" and "what's hot" since they last visited.

Hi, In version 2, the administration could not have been translated. In version 3, it is still not possible entirely. The phrases of the left column menu are stored in separate files. Can we (international users) expect a fully tranlatable administration interface in the near future? Thanks

Well there was a fantastic response to the skin contest, how about a smiley or avatar contest as I personally feel that the default ones that come with the forum script are a bit old hat now and we could do with a set of really nice quality png files to be included in future releases, thoughts?...
