I have just created a ticket for you on this so that we can take a closer look for you and see whats going on
Daneil informed me by email that after his investigation, he successfully located the issue, and he is working on a solution/fix at this moment for this bug.

Just a quick update to let you know a patch was just released for 4.6.8, and is available within the support area of your admin CP. No need to wait for the next release 🙂
The patch giving this error after the normal upgrade.
I had to use admin/upgrade in order to finish the update.

Just a quick update to let you know this will be patched at some point tomorrow, once we have tested the fixes
Great. Thank you Marc.

I would note that this is an assumption here. There are items that are patched between releases, as you have seen with other problems.
This is not an assumption here, and I have been long enough with IPS in order to know what's going on.
This current bug is related to the same bug that IPS didn't even bother to do investigation on what causing it back in July.
I am the only one who had spent time and months to figure out what causing it after the nonsense comments here and there on September 2021.
You do the math how long it took me to do what IPS should have done, and then the fix was the release of this current bug.
-
@Duken I suggest to buy this plugin
It is worth having it all the time. This bug won't be fixed soon, and we will have to wait for the next release or until IPS figure out what causing this issue. Moreover, without it I couldn't reverse what this bug caused.

Sorry, Im not sure this make sense. You state there you edit the post/topic with a normal user account, but you cannot do that. It would have to be a moderator if they are editing another persons content. As I cannot replicate, I would need to ensure these instructions are correct
1. okay. Make a normal post as normal user account on a forum that you sure it has "Allow anonymous content?" Enabled from Posting Settings
2. Yes, but make sure the moderator group have "can post anonymously?" Enabled from group settings.
3. Edit the post/topic from the normal user account by using the moderator account ( I hope now it make more sense dear )
4. Refresh the page and you will see that post was posted by the normal user has changed the author to the moderator user.

Please ensure you have all the latest patches added and test this again. If you are still seeing the same, we would need specific instructions to replicate. I cant seem to replicate this at all on my end.
Steps taken
- Posted a new topic under my normal user account
- Logged into the ACP and used log in as to log in as a moderator
- Edited my topic
- CLicked to show the user, and it still shows it was created by the member who created it
1. okay. Make sure it's posted on a forum where you have "Allow anonymous content?" Enabled from Posting Settings
2. Yes, but make sure the moderator group have "can post anonymously?" Enabled from group settings.
3. Edit the post/topic from the normal user account.
4. Refresh the page and you will see that post was posted by the normal user has changed the author to the moderator user.

@Jim M this bug is very important to report because IPS doesn't have change author option anymore, and I am very lucky that I have the plugin to reverse what this bug did.

Why don't you clean all the log entries?
Well I need to keep them in order to monitor the old and new staff actions.

I have a habit of restarting Apache, but forgetting about PHP-FPM. One way to be absolutely certain is just to quickly reboot the entire server.
I do restart them together. 🙂
@Jim M I increased it to 2048M which is a lot.
The result is it starts to load, yet gone to error HTTP 500.

As I mentioned here the issue is that IPS system php script can't handle that much of the logs, and it happened once with @Adriano Faria with one of his application that I left the logs for more than 3 years. He fixed it, so the "Moderator Activity" can't handle the 17626 pages of "Moderator Logs". I believe you should pass this one to the developers in order to take a look.

PHP's memory limit on your server beyond what you did previously.
More than 512M ?

If you increase it yet further, does it then work?
Increase what exactly ?

Increase your php memory limit on the server
I tried, and I have it now to 512M. Same issue.

Given this is an error being thrown at server level, please can you check your server error logs for the underlying error being logged?

Just to let you know here, we may disable customizations temporarily in order to ascertain what is causing issues on the site. Please could you confirm you understand this, as this includes the editor
Well I have done that already disabling all the third-party customizations, and the results were still the same. You can go ahead do what you need to do, but I am sure the results will still remind the same.
-
It's now full unrestricted access account, and please stay away from the editor because it has nothing to do with this.

Please ensure the account on file has full unrestricted access. We can then take a look at that for you
I will see what I can do about this because last time you guys logged to the ACP you disabled everything and reset the editor which cause a 3 hours work because we have many custom buttons, and left without notice. Moreover, the bug wasn't related to any of this.
In the main while. I have found another bug.
I don't believe this one should look like this.
-
The new "Moderator Activity" getting HTTP error 500.
All statics are running fine but this one. I have disabled all apps, plugins, and also cleared system cache, yet same results.
